Thousands of purples and thousands of reds compete for spring glory, only chrysanthemums are proud of autumn frost. Recently, nearly 100 acres of golden silk imperial chrysanthemums have bloomed in Wutongshan Village, Shuangqiao Town, Shunqing District, and these golden golden imperial chrysanthemums have blossomed in the local area.

On the morning of November 1st, at the village's golden silk imperial chrysanthemum planting base, more than 10,000 chrysanthemums competed to open, golden and fragrant. Villagers flew skillfully through the blooming flowers, plucked off the golden chrysanthemums, shook off the dew and put them into the back basket, and the joy of the harvest overflowed on everyone's happy faces.
"Be careful when picking to keep the flowers intact." "No problem, Secretary Kou, let's be careful." During the laughter, Kou Xiong, secretary of the party branch of Wutongshan Village, together with the villagers, carefully picked chrysanthemums with the cat waist.
In fact, this Golden Silk Imperial Chrysanthemum base was still a wasteland last year. Wutongshan Village covers an area of about 2.95 square kilometers, has jurisdiction over 6 villager groups, and has a total population of 1672 people. At the beginning of this year, Shunqing stepped up efforts to restore farmland to wasteland. In April, after overall consideration, the village committee decided to reclaim a batch of wasteland for the development of characteristic industries such as golden silk imperial chrysanthemum. As a result, the small mountain village became lively, the land was re-cultivated, and the villagers also got a lot of employment opportunities.
Zhao Guihua, a 65-year-old villager, returned to Wutongshan Village from other places in 2019 to work at the dandelion industrial base, and after the establishment of the golden silk imperial chrysanthemum planting base this year, Zhao Guihua has another channel to increase income. "I am mainly responsible for weeding and picking flowers, and I have more than 1,400 yuan a month, which is still comfortable." Zhao Guihua said with a smile.
"Our village is mainly based on dandelion cultivation, in order to strengthen the collective economy, we implemented the reclamation of wasteland, went to Chengdu to learn planting technology and introduced seedlings to develop the chrysanthemum industry, which also provided jobs for more than 40 people in the village." Kou Xiong said that compared with traditional crops, the risk of golden silk imperial chrysanthemum is small and the output value is high, and the price per kilogram ranges from 80-200 yuan per kilogram according to the size of the chrysanthemum produced. In addition to being ornamental, its flavonoid content is extremely high, rich in a variety of amino acids, vitamins and trace elements, sweet taste, fragrant, moist, has the effect of dissipating wind and heat, blindness and so on, favored by consumers.
"This batch of goldenrods was planted in April and is currently being picked, and this year's wet flower output is about 20,000 kilograms, and the dried flower output is about 2,000 kilograms, and the total output value is expected to be more than 600,000 yuan." Kou Xiong said that at present, murakami's development of characteristic planting industry can achieve an income of about 3 million yuan a year. Next, the village will continue to explore a good way to develop the village's collective economy and effectively promote the masses to become rich and increase income.
