
On the occasion of the 44th World Heritage Conference, the "Bird Atlas of Wuyishan National Park", co-compiled by the Wuyishan Institute of Biology of Fujian Province and the Wuyishan National Park Administration and edited by Wan Yong, was officially published. The atlas includes a total of 390 species of birds, belonging to 21 orders, 77 families and 222 genera, which is the most comprehensive catalogue of bird species in Wuyishan National Park.
Wuyishan National Park is known as "bird's paradise" reputation, bird research history of 140 years, 2007-2009, with the support of the Fujian Provincial Department of Science and Technology, led by the Fujian Wuyishan Institute of Biological Research, China's Fujian Wuyishan Biodiversity Research Information Platform has been on the Diversity of Birds in Wuyishan, Fujian Province, through in-depth investigation of bird resources in the Wuyishan area, statistics show that Wuyishan National Park currently has 18 orders and 49 families and 268 species of birds. The Bird Atlas of Wuyishan National Park adopts the method of illustrating and summarizing the bird survey results of Wuyishan National Park since the 19th century, and according to the data and data of the Wuyishan Institute of Biology of Fujian Province and the Wuyishan National Park Administration, some bird species that do not have sufficient evidence to prove the existence are eliminated to ensure the objectivity and scientific nature of the data.
This book is currently the most documented book of birds in Wuyishan National Park, and also fills the gap in the science books of birds in Nanping City. Wuyishan National Park is the cradle of the most representative high-altitude area rare forest bird species in eastern China, the publication of this book is not only a gift to the World Heritage Conference, but also further enriches the basic information of biodiversity resources of Wuyishan National Park, promotes the ecological protection, scientific research, science popularization and construction management of Wuyishan National Park, and can also lay the foundation for the future publication of biological atlases in Wuyishan National Park.
