In the garden on the northeast side of Nei cuo Ao, there are two European-style villas, very old, both built in the 1880s, which can be regarded as the old villas of Gulangyu Island, known as "Gong Bao Di", which was once the residence of General Lin Zumi of Taiwan. Here he established the leading organ of the Chinese Revolutionary Party in Fujian, plotted against Yuan Shikai's theft of the country, opposed Chen Jiongming's rebellion, established the Minnan Army, and supported Dr. Sun Yat-sen's democratic revolution. Gongbaodi can really be described as a storm, with a deep history, and is now a municipal cultural relics protection unit.
Lin Zumi, famous zihao, character Ji shang, ancestral home of Fujian Pinghe Wuzhaipu Village. His ancestors moved to Changhua, Taiwan in the nineteenth year of the Qianlong Dynasty (1754), and later moved to Wufeng in Taichung, called "Wufeng Lin Family". His grandfather Lin Wencha , the official to Fujian Overland Governor , Qing Zhi Prince Shao Bao father Lin Chaodong , in order to resist the invasion of Taiwan French army, open up Taiwan meritoriously, Chinga Erpin to wear, give wearing a yellow coat, command the whole Taiwan camp. Mother Yang Ping, also led 6,000 township Ding Zhiyong to help her husband break through the siege of the French army invading the Datun Mountains and was awarded the title of Lady Yipin. In 1878, Lin Zumi was born in this family of military heroes.
In 1895, the Qing government signed the Treaty of Maguan, which humiliated the country and ceded Taiwan to Japan. Shi Lin Chaodong led his troops to guard Taichung, and after the treaty was signed, due to the hopelessness of anti-Japanese resistance, he crossed his family and built a European-style villa in Gulang, Gong Baodi. In the thirtieth year of Guangxu (1904), Lin Chaodong died. Before his death, Chao Dong had the reputation of "only knowing the country, not knowing the family", Zumi carried forward the spirit of his father, and in 1913, he resolutely ignored Taiwan's family property and went to the Japanese consulate in Xiamen to cancel his Japanese nationality, becoming the first Taiwan compatriot to restore Chinese nationality after the Xinhai Revolution. To this end, the Japanese government confiscated more than 20,000 mu of its forests in Taishan, and cheaply purchased more than 2,000 mu of its paddy fields. More than 500 of its camphor-making, sugar workshops, sugar shops and other industries in Taiwan were abandoned. In this way, his bequeathed property is less than one-tenth of the original, and he has no remorse in the end.
In 1914, Sun Yat-sen founded the "Chinese Revolutionary Party" to lead the struggle against Yuan Shikai. In 1915, Lin Zumi joined the Chinese Revolutionary Party and actively opposed Yuan Shikai's claim to be an emperor. At that time, a campaign against Yuan Shikai, a great thief who stole the country, was also set off throughout the country, and Yunnan and other provinces declared independence and organized a "national protection army". In January 1916, the Fujian branch of the Chinese Revolutionary Party held a secret military conference at Gongbaodi in Gulang and decided to launch the "Xiamen Uprising", but it was aborted due to the miscarriage of the secret noodles. Afterwards, Lin Zumi repeatedly summoned comrades from Zhangquan to gather at gongbaodi's apartment and offered hundreds of thousands of silver dollars. In the summer of 1917, Sun Yat-sen appointed him as a "Grand Marshal's Office to join the army": in January 1918, he was appointed as a major general of the army, the commander of the Minnan Army, and the military commander in charge of Guonan, and he led his troops to recover 7 counties such as Putian, Shanyou, Yong'an, and Datian, and in order to improve the quality of the "Minnan Army", he raised funds to recruit progressive young people and founded the "Suiying Army School" in Zhangzhou, and for a time, he developed more than 800 cadets, five years before the Whampoa Military Academy, thus arousing the envy of Chen Jiongming, commander of the Guangdong Army. After Chen Jiongming marched into Fujian, the Minnan Army was under Chen's command. In order to eliminate the generals loyal to Dr. Sun Yat-sen, Chen slandered the Minnan Army as bandits, ordered the cancellation of the army school with the battalion, and surrounded the minnan army headquarters in Hua'an, forcibly disarming, which is known in history as the "Minnan Army Incident". On April 2, 1918, Zumi was unfortunately arrested by the Beiyang warlord Li Houji and detained in the Gulangyu Gongbu Bureau; Later, because the consular corps and the Ministry of Works and Bureaus took the non-extradition of "political prisoners" as a common practice, they were able to escape from danger. Later, he served as the commander of the Second Reserve Of the Guangdong Army and the commander of the Shantou Garrison. After Sun Yat-sen led the soldiers gui, he transferred Lin to the base camp to participate in the discussion. After the Northern Expeditionary Army entered Fuzhou, Lin Sen was appointed as the province
074 Chief, Zumi was appointed as the director of the Fujian Provincial Water Conservancy Bureau.
Zumi has always wanted to save the country with industry, and after resigning from the government, he set up a reclamation and animal husbandry company, a forest farm, and mined coal; It also set up huafeng dredging company to dredge the Jiulong River. On August 20, 1925, Zhang Yi, the commander of the warlord Li Houji's old division, arrested him and extorted a huge amount of money, but he did not give him anything, and as a result, Zhang Yi shot and killed him at The Age of 48 at Shangshan in Hua'an.
General Lin Zumi was an elder of the Kuomintang, who followed Dr. Sun Yat-sen for many years and made many contributions to the country and the localities. Wen Yue "Comrade Zumi, born in Taichung Rich Room, and patriotic Danchen, joined the revolution in the early days of the people, commanded the rebel army, and turned to Fujian and Guangdong." Committed to water conservancy to help the people's livelihood. Warlords were rampant and unfortunately killed. The memory of the righteous martyrs is particularly mournful. Special plaque was issued to honor him", affirming and praising his merits.
Today's GongBaodi, the two villas are still the same, but very old and broken, the wall surface is peeling off, the line foot is broken, the ground wall root, the moss marks are scattered, it has become a dangerous house, and it has not been found that General Lin has a fierce heroism for the revolutionary society and contributed a lifetime of pride to the motherland, but it records the history of General Lin following Dr. Sun Yat-sen's revolution here and plotting here, which will never be extinguished.
