I've always felt that animation has a magic power that appeals to the instinctive preferences of humans. Animation gives you a colorful enough world.
Almost all children will be more or less addicted to dinosaurs, sea creatures, vehicles, dolls, dolls and other things when they are young. But only some children will continue these childhood hobbies after being called adults. The same goes for cartoons. Most animated films attract audiences with exaggerated forms of expression and interesting pictures, and the expression of animation is more flexible and rich than that of films starring live-action films, and the method of painting makes it full of infinite possibilities.

Grid-by-frame animation does not account for a large proportion of all animated films, but there is still no shortage of excellent works that impress the audience. My personal favorite frame-by-frame animation is Hollywood's first full-length, intensely Tim Burton-style model animation, The Nightmare Before Christmas. Its story may be a little simpler for adults, but the grotesque, scary and cute graphics and lifelike monster images are refreshing and refreshing compared to computer-made models. Another charm of grid-by-frame animation is that ordinary people can also make a small animation of their own. Clay people and Lego villains can become the protagonists of the animation.
Due to the rapid development of technology, 3D animated films have become the main force in animated films. Well-known film studios such as Disney, Pixar, and DreamWorks all have signature animated films that were once popular. Disney is now synonymous with the titans of the movie entertainment industry, and the Pirates of the Caribbean series was once just a themed play area in Disneyland. Compared with realistic and textured 3D animation films, traditional 2D animated films look more romantic and artistic. If most 3D animation films pay attention to the fineness of the model, the superb rendering, and the realism of the action, then 2D animation pays more attention to the line drawing style and brushstrokes, taking the classic animation "101 Spotted Dog" as an example, which is a typical Disney-style animation movie. The film's depictions of buildings and furniture use simple lines to outline solid color blocks, and the whole picture looks warm and lazy with a hint of humor. Hayao Miyazaki is well known as a well-known animation director, and his involvement in Studio Ghibli's hand-drawn animated films will be known to even audiences who are not interested in animated films. In addition to the two animation powers of the United States and Japan, there are also many excellent works in other countries. French animated films often give a sense of the gentleness of the afternoon sun, light and flavorful. "Crazy Dating Mirador" and "The Magician" are both the works of French director Sylvia Jomai, and both films have more or less exaggerated appearances. There is almost no dialogue in the film, and the content is expressed through vivid pictures. The former is a comedy film, which is full of French humor, and unlike the common American humor, French humor has a hint of subtlety and tenderness. But in fact, after the exaggerated shape and bland plot is a unique "blunt knife" and "needle in the cotton" of a French film, it is to make the audience feel a faint heartache after calmly watching the movie, which may be the sigh of human beings for the gentle and ruthless ordinary life in the world, or the emotions floating in the layers of packaging and calmly bursting.
China's local animation films do not seem to be able to catch up with other countries with more complete and mature animation industries, but there was a brilliant period many years ago, and continuous efforts have been made in recent years. Speaking of China's representative animation films, it should be several old animations from the Shanghai Fine Arts Film Studio, such as "The Great Haunting of the Heavenly Palace", "The Little Tadpole Finds Mother", "The Nine-Colored Deer" and so on. These films are very Chinese aesthetic characteristics, ink painting, paper cutting, shadow puppets, brush strokes, puppets, it has to be said that these animation films represent a height of Chinese animation aesthetics, and in the long time after that and even today, China's aesthetics are somewhat declining. From animated films to textbook illustrations, we can clearly feel a huge fault in aesthetics. The mainstream of 3D animation followed the 3D animation, even if the models and movements were not perfect; the 2D fresh animation caused a reaction, and they also stepped up the promotion of new 2D animation films. Even so, in fact, we can feel which are the sincere works of dedication, and we should encourage more, rather than blindly belittling all domestic animation films. There are countless movies that rub IP, but there are also excellent domestic products worth mentioning.

No matter how old we are, there is always a wonderful place in our hearts, and animated films give us a visual display.
In addition to these mainstream genres, there are many performance styles such as live-action 3D combination, live-action 2D combination, puppet animation and so on. I think animation is not only a colorful dreamwork full of fantasy, but also a means of expressing abstract and unique reality stories.
When we were young, we loved to watch animation because it was vivid and interesting, and adults loved animated movies not only because they had a childlike heart, but also because they loved this artistic approach. Of course, I can't make up my mind about all the films, but if live-action films are a photography exhibition that shows things and people you know but haven't seen, and makes you want to explore, then animated films are a painting exhibition, a sculpture exhibition, to show you their creations. It was the wonderful world of your childhood dreams.
