People stay in the house
"People staying in the hands" is protection: protecting plants, protecting green, protecting nature, protecting life?
MAY BE! What we prefer to protect is your heart that loves to read and love nature.
——The official micro-platform of the Journal of Plant Protection
Presumably, many people have raised white, cute silkworm babies when they were young, and Xiaobian is one of them. I still remember that when I was in elementary school, I happily found a silkworm egg from my classmates, quietly expecting it to break out of its shell, and then running around to find mulberry leaves to meet its rations, watching it grow little by little, turn white little by little, and then spit out a cocoon and break the cocoon into a moth. It can be said that the silkworm was my first pet and the most special playmate when I was a child.
Now that the weather is warmer and it is a good time to raise silkworms, I don't know, are you ready to raise silkworms?

A life of debauchery and unrestrained love to spit silk
Our common silkworm (Bombyx mori), is an insect of the Lepidoptera silkworm moth family, its life will pass through four completely different stages of development of eggs, larvae, pupae, adult insects, a total of about 50 days of life cycle.
Whenever the temperature warms up, the silkworm eggs will automatically hatch, and the silkworm babies that have just hatched from the eggs are black and small, and the body is covered with fine hairs, like a small black ant, which we call silkworm ants or silkworms.
Silkworms
They can start eating mulberry leaves 2 to 3 hours after hatching. After that, the amount of silkworm babies eating is getting bigger and bigger, the longer and faster they are, they will hibernate and peel every two or three days, peeling four times in succession, from a black and thin black girl to Cinderella, a white girl, and finally a white and fat, white and transparent white lady.
Until the end of the fifth age, the silkworm babies grow up and mature and no longer molt, at this time called mature silkworms, they will begin to spit silk cocoons in rings, corners and other places that are convenient for silk fixation, forming a white, oval cocoon.
There are also silkworm babies who meet their beloved other half before spitting silk, and then the two (silkworms) build a love hut together. Together, they will form a cocoon that is half the size of a single silkworm, but 85% of them are single (silkworms).
The cocoon is composed of a whole silk, and the length of the silk is generally 700 to 900m.
When the secretions in the silk gland are completely exhausted, the silkworm baby transforms into a silkworm pupae in the cocoon, the body shape of the silkworm pupa is like a spindle, after about 12 to 15 days, when the pupal begins to soften, the pupal skin is a little wrinkled and earthy brown, the silkworm moth will break out of the cocoon.
The cocoon-breaking silkworm moth, although winged, has lost its ability to fly. Their ultimate goal is to mate to give birth to a baby, and the female moth emits a smell at the tail to lure the male moth to mate, after mating the male moth will die immediately, and the female moth spends a night laying about a few hundred silkworm eggs, after which it will die.
The remaining silkworm eggs will be a new beginning in the spring of the following year.

Silkworm baby feeding techniques
Don't think that the silkworm baby is the best "pet", as long as you give it fresh mulberry leaves, it will naturally grow larger and cocoon. In fact, silkworms are more picky about the requirements of the growing environment, and the temperature is too low, the air is too humid or the mulberry leaves are contaminated with trace pesticides, which will lead to the premature death of the silkworm baby.
So how can we make silkworm babies live better?

"Evenly seated" silkworm baby
Newly hatched silkworm babies (silkworms) are more "timid and afraid", and they always like to gather together. For the silkworms that gather together, we can help them move their positions, but it is not recommended to take them directly by hand, and to gently move them with a brush or feather, so as to avoid injury and excessive "crowding".
The size of the silkworm is very small, when feeding mulberry leaves, it is best to pay attention to picking tender mulberry leaves, and it is best to cut a small section with scissors to facilitate eating.

Suitable temperature and light
The best temperature for raising silkworm babies is 23 ~ 28 ° C, to keep ventilation and dry, too humid is easy to get sick, but sun exposure is absolutely prohibited.
Silkworm babies have the strongest phototropism, whether it is a natural light source or an artificial light source, which will have an impact on the feeding and behavior of silkworms. In general, silkworms in the dark have a better appetite than silkworms in well-lit places, but they are not very athletic.

Clean the Jamsil regularly
It is necessary to regularly remove silkworm sand (silkworm baby's rice dumplings), which is conducive to disease prevention.
If you find that the sick baby is abnormal or dead, please quickly clean up the dead silkworms, and isolate the sick silkworms in time, and disinfect the utensils to prevent infection.

Feed the mulberry leaves
We know that silkworm babies are committed to the love of mulberry leaves, and they need 10 essential amino acids in their bodies, and 4 amino acids in cocoon silk. Mulberry leaves, on the other hand, have all the amino acids needed by silkworms.
Raising silkworms with mulberry leaves is naturally the best choice. However, remember that you should not spray water on the mulberry leaves, otherwise the silkworm baby will spit water. If the mulberry leaves are not easy to find, they can also be replaced with plants such as lettuce, structure, garnet, dandelion and so on.

Set up Silkworm Mountain
I don't know if you have found that silkworms, which are usually kept in small boxes, like to run to corners to form cocoons, which is that they are looking for a fixed point for their cocoons. Many silkworm farms will set up silkworm mountains (or silkworm clusters) to provide conditions for silkworms to climb.
Therefore, you may wish to separate the mature silkworm babies into a small room, or insert some paper shells, bamboo sticks or straw into the carton parallel, which can help them form cocoons.
Sericulture is a pleasure and an excellent way to observe life grow.
And our silkworm baby is also the spokesperson for the best character - spring silkworm to the end of the dead silk, crispy and delicious fried plate.
