The Shanghai Museum's "Silk Li Danqing - Special Exhibition of Ming and Qing Embroidery Calligraphy and Painting" came to an end on the three-volt day of hot summer. The art of the silk world is interesting, showing the exquisite skills of traditional Chinese craftsmanship and arousing people's yearning for traditional Chinese aesthetics.

「Gu Embroidery Chapter"

Gu embroidery originated from the Gu Ming family of Jinshi of Songjiang Province during the Ming Jiajing period. His concubine Miao was good at embroidering figures and Buddha statues; his daughter-in-law Han shi imitated Song and Yuan paintings into embroidery, with fine silk splitting and vivid embroidery, so she became famous for a while. In the Qing Dynasty, Gu Lanyu, the great-granddaughter of Gu Mingshi, began to set up an embroidery workshop, collecting disciples and teaching Gu embroidery techniques. Since then, Gu embroidery has spread in the area around Shanghai, folk women have competed to imitate it, merchants have opened embroidery villages, purchased embroidery products, and the name of Gu embroidery has spread throughout Jiangnan.

Gu Embroidery uses the famous paintings of the Song and Yuan Dynasties as a facsimile, and the combination of embroidery and painting is used to embroider the pen and the silk thread as Danqing. A variety of stitches are woven to reflect the artistic conception of calligraphy and painting. The embroidered landscapes, figures, flowers and birds are all vivid and vivid, and the work is meticulous, so it also makes Gu's embroidery works like hair, needles like millimeters, and picturesque colors, which have high artistic and ornamental value.

In dong qichang's attention and encouragement, Han's Gu embroidery peak work moved the world, and "Jiangnan no embroidery no surname Gu" has also become a legend that has lasted for more than three hundred years.

"Silk Chapter"

Silk is a plain weave fabric made of raw silk as the warp thread, cooked silk as the weft, and woven at one time through the process of warp and weft. Due to the different suit colors, the same color parallels only appear where they are needed.

Late Ming and early Qing dynasties Silk Flower Album

Silk is a thousand shuttles, especially imitation of calligraphy and painting works, requiring weavers to have good skills, decomposing the colors in the painting into countless color blocks and even pixels, and weaving them with silk. Therefore, it is the only weaving process that cannot be machined so far, and mature craftsmen only get three or five centimeters a day.

Therefore, there is a saying, an inch of silk and an inch of gold.

The opening tells about Gu Xiu and his small history

The embroidery local pattern is derived from the part of Han Ximeng's "Gu Embroidery Flower Worm Fish Album" in the late Ming Dynasty.

Gu embroidery's embroidery thread is extremely thin, and it is necessary to divide at least one silk thread into sixteen parts of embroidery.

From the basic needle thread, one stitch and one thread,

The needle is a branch, the green leaves are obliquely wrapped around the needle, and the flat embroidery is made into petals, and finally becomes a painting.

Everyone also gradually understands that silk in the manufacturing process,

According to the contour of the pattern, the color changes,

In a limited part, reciprocating through.

When the same parallel reaches the edge of the same patch,

Turning around, often referred to as "through the warp and weft".

Gu Xiu's rhythm and technique,

Cleverly simplified to something that children can get started with,

The embroidery works express "vivid rhyme, work rhyme and complete",

The silk thread planted a solid seed in the hearts of each participant.

The summer wind smudged into a fiery flame in the sky,

Children and parents in the house, quietly weaving longitude and latitude,

The reason why the tradition is passed on,

Not only exquisite skills, rich connotations,

More because in the long river of history,

Constantly hone your mind.

This elegance, this indifference,

It needs to be cared for, learned and passed on by future generations.
