On October 27, the third meeting of the Coordination Group for Law-abiding law popularization of the District Committee for Comprehensively Governing the Region in Accordance with the Law was held to comprehensively summarize the work of the "Seventh Five-Year Plan" law popularization in the whole region and deploy the key work of the "Eighth Five-Year Plan" for law popularization. Wu Zhiwei, member of the Standing Committee of the district party committee and director of the Propaganda Department, attended the meeting.
The meeting conveyed in writing the spirit of the central government's "one plan and two outlines" and the "Eighth Five-Year Plan of the Central Propaganda Department and the Ministry of Justice on Carrying Out Publicity and Education on the Rule of Law (2021-2025)"; and reported on the work of the "Seventh Five-Year Plan" to popularize the law. The meeting also deliberated the Eighth Five-Year Plan (2021-2025) of the Publicity Department of the Guangming District Cpc Committee and the Guangming District Justice Bureau on Carrying Out Publicity and Education on the Rule of Law among citizens in the Whole District (2021-2025) (draft for review), which clarified the overall objectives, work ideas and important tasks of the law popularization work in the Guangming District in the next five years, and pointed out the direction for the next legal popularization work.
Wu Zhiwei pointed out that it is necessary to deeply study and implement Xi Jinping Thought on the Rule of Law, and effectively enhance the political consciousness of doing a good job in abiding by the law and popularizing the law. The work of abiding by the law and popularizing the law is a systematic project, and we must adhere to the multi-party linkage, close cooperation, and coordinated advancement. The Propaganda Department of the District Party Committee and the District Bureau of Justice should give full play to the functions of overall coordination, supervision and guidance of the work of popularizing the law, establish and improve various work mechanisms for popularizing the law, clearly distinguish the tasks, implement specific responsibilities, and grasp the assessment, accelerate the construction of a responsibility implementation system, an evaluation index system, and a supervision and assessment system to promote the implementation mechanism, and ensure that the implementation of the law popularization work in the whole region is implemented in detail.
Wu Zhiwei stressed: It is necessary to give prominence to the actual results of the work, do a good job in overall planning and coordination, and pay close attention to the work of abiding by the law and popularizing the law in a down-to-earth manner. It is necessary to base ourselves on the responsibilities of departments, conscientiously sum up the experience and practices of the "Seventh Five-Year Plan" in popularizing the law, conscientiously implement the responsibility system of "who enforces the law and who popularizes the law" centering on the set goals of the Eighth Five-Year Plan for popularizing the law and the list of responsibilities for popularizing the law, and fight and win the opening battle of the "Eighth Five-Year Plan" law popularization work. Adhere to the principle of integrity and innovation, unite the joint efforts of the whole region, and strive to build a demonstration urban area for the rule of law city.
