My Story of Joining the Party 丨Li Wei: It was the Party organization that cultivated me

"The biggest feature of my work is that I work in the wild all year round, and the changdang will be bitten by ants and will pass by poisonous snakes... In the past 20 years, I have participated in the province's forest resources survey and forest resources supervision and management work for many times, and I have visited more than 100 of the 129 counties in the province. A few days ago, in the office of the Yunnan Forestry Investigation and Planning Institute, the reporter met Li Wei, a member of the Yao Party, who had a round face, glasses, and a sunny smile.

Li Wei was born in 1978 in a Yao village in Mengban Town, Mengla County, Xishuangbanna Dai Autonomous Prefecture. He had the impression that before the age of 6 they lived in thatched huts, his father worked in the township, and his mother raised pigs to feed the horses to grow crops. Feet to wear plastic sandals to play in the village. "At that time, in the village, some children didn't even have shoes to wear." Levi said.

Li Wei remembers that after going to school, every morning at 6:30, the school radio would play songs such as "Without the Communist Party, There Would Be No New China", and with the singing, he planted red seeds in his heart.

In 1997, Li Wei was admitted to Yunnan University, majoring in economic geography and urban and rural regional planning. After graduating in July 2001, Li Wei was admitted to the Forestry Survey and Planning Institute of Yunnan Province. After his work, he actively submitted an application to join the party.

In March 2002, the unit participated in the continuous inventory of forest resources in Yunnan Province, and Li Wei's department was responsible for the inventory of forest resources in Pu'er City. At that time, transportation was inconvenient and the conditions were difficult. As an active member of the party, Li Wei took the initiative to ask to go to the remote Lancang to carry out work.

In order to save time during the inventory work, Li Wei and his colleagues carried tripods, measuring instruments, cards, machetes, hoes and other work equipment on their backs every morning, and set off with some dry food and water. Since everywhere they went was primeval forest, they had to drive down the mountain before dark for safety. In order to complete the inventory task as soon as possible, Li Wei and his colleagues were very engaged. Once, Levi was busy measuring the chest diameter of a tree and almost touched a poisonous snake. All kinds of mosquito bites are more commonplace, even if everyone deliberately wears stockings wrapped around the outside of the trouser legs, smeared with anti-mosquito bite medicine, but after going down the mountain to feel the belly cool, open the clothes to find that the ants have long been drunk. At that time, their daily walking distance was twenty or thirty kilometers.

In 2006, Li Wei gloriously joined the Communist Party of China.

In May 2014, Li Wei was transferred to the Yunnan Provincial Forest Resources Management Station, and in the provincial forest land forest management and inspection work, he actively learned and applied new technologies and means, which greatly improved the authenticity and reliability of the inspection results.

"Along the way, the happiest thing is to go down to the grassroots level, go to the countryside, and enter the peasant households, and I have deeply felt the great changes in the development of ethnic minority areas in Yunnan." Li Wei said that he deeply felt the positive change in the thinking of the ethnic minorities in the border areas, especially the Yao compatriots, from "I want to develop" to "I want to develop" and "I can develop." He deeply felt the firm conviction of the masses of all nationalities in the border areas in supporting the party's leadership and firmly following the party, and their confidence and determination to make the country rich and strong and the Chinese nation rejuvenated.

Li Wei's hometown has also achieved great changes, the remote Yaozhai is now every household to eat and wear without worry, cement roads have been built to the doorstep, the ditch in front of the door has been changed into a water pipeline, the mud ditch has also been converted into a cement canal, the cottage has become more beautiful, the life of the people of all ethnic groups in the frontier has undergone fundamental changes, the spiritual outlook has been renewed, the sense of gain, happiness and security has been enhanced, and it is striding forward on the road of rural revitalization.

"Under the cultivation and education of the party, I also grew from a child in the Yao mountainous area to a senior engineer in the Forestry Survey and Planning Institute of Yunnan Province." Li Wei felt very satisfied, "Although the work is sometimes more difficult, I have enjoyed the beautiful scenery of the mountains and rivers in yunling, met the kind and simple villagers, and improved my professional skills." Thanks to the party organization for educating me and cultivating me, I can only do every job conscientiously with practical actions to repay the organization, the party, and the motherland. ”
