On the morning of November 2, the groundbreaking ceremony of the medical device accelerator (Phase I) and Phase II projects of Shanghai International Medical Park in Zhangjiang Science City was officially held.
The project is located in the southern core area and sub-center of Zhangjiang Science City, adjacent to Shanghai Health Medical College and the Pudong Campus of Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine under construction, and at the same time, surrounded by a number of international and domestic well-known medical device companies including Siemens Medical, Dräger, Minimally Invasive Medical, Lishengte, etc., with superior regional location and strong industrial ecology. The entire project consists of 8 buildings that meet the R&D and pilot needs of innovative medical device enterprises, with a total land area of 24,000 square meters and a total construction area of 80,800 square meters.
In the future, the medical device accelerator will focus on molecular diagnosis, high-value consumables, implant intervention, medical surgical robots, artificial intelligence devices and other cutting-edge areas of the industry, and accelerate the scientific and technological research and development and transformation of innovative medical device products.
In addition, the medical device accelerator (phase III) project is also being accelerated, which will further enhance the carrying capacity and industrial agglomeration of medical devices in Zhangjiang Science City Shanghai International Medical Park.
