2022 application season, here he comes!

On August 1st, a new round of the Common App application system was fully opened! Let's take a look at the new changes.
To facilitate a fairer and more inclusive college application process, the Common App application system has five significant changes that will take effect on August 1.
In order to accept diverse students, the application system has modified some question options regarding the student's background. For example, some questions about parents and siblings have been removed, and questions about parents' occupation and employment are set to optional instead of mandatory.
In the gender description section, the wording was changed from "sex" to "legal sex"; questions were also removed asking students whether they had violated discipline at school, whether they had been discharged from the military, and religious preferences.
In the citizenship option, "Other (non-US)" is replaced by Citizen of non-U.S. Country (non-U.S. citizens) and DACA, undocumented, Deferred Enforced Departure, or Temporary Protected Status are available. All of the above updates will take effect on August 1.
