Mongolia issues warnings of snowstorms and sandstorms

At noon on November 2, local time, the official website of Mongolia's State General Administration of Emergency Situations issued a warning of a blizzard and sandstorm.

According to the weather forecast information provided by the country's meteorological department, from the 3rd to the 6th, it is expected that most parts of the western, central and eastern provinces of the country will encounter snowfall and strong winds. In the meantime, wind speeds will reach 18 to 20 meters per second in most areas, and in some areas, instantaneous wind speeds will reach 24 meters per second, or they may encounter blizzards and sandstorms.

In addition, Mongolia's meteorological department expects that from the 3rd, the temperature in several provinces of the country will drop sharply, which may cause roads to freeze or be closed.

The State General Administration of Emergency Situations of Mongolia calls on the public to always pay attention to weather changes, heed the reminders and suggestions of professional institutions, and do a good job in preventing natural disasters; long-distance transport vehicle drivers should check the condition of vehicles, do a good job of sufficient fuel reserves and wind and warmth and other related work before traveling; in order to avoid getting lost in the wind and snow or property damage and other events, herders try not to graze cattle at a long distance, and pay attention to the care of the disabled, the elderly and children.
