Shanghai Songhu Anti-Japanese War Memorial Park

In Baoshan, Shanghai, there is a "Shanghai Songhu Anti-Japanese War Memorial Park", located at No. 1 Youyi Road, Baoshan District. The park is bordered by Baoshan Riverside Park and Yangtze River to the east, Shanghai International Cruise Terminal to the southeast, and Shanghai Long Beach Memorial Tower to the north.

Shanghai Songhu Anti-Japanese War Memorial Park covers an area of 10.6 hectares. The park was built in 1956 on the site of the Baoshan Temple in the Qing Dynasty and named "Gongqing Park", which was renamed "Friendship Park" in August of the same year. Due to the park's frequent proximity to the Yangtze River, it was renamed "Linjiang Park" in October 1962. In 2000, the Songhu Anti-Japanese War Memorial Hall was completed. In 2004, the park was built to the northwest. In 2015, commemorating the 70th anniversary of the victory of the Chinese People's War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and the victory of the World Anti-Fascist War, the park was renovated, enriched the theme of the Songhu Anti-Japanese War, and renamed "Shanghai Songhu Anti-Japanese War Memorial Park".

In the park, there are Songhu Anti-Japanese War Memorial Hall, Songhu Anti-Japanese War Memorial Square, Chen Huacheng Memorial Hall and Memorial Square, Ancient Huangyang Mountain and other attractions. There are also historical monuments such as the Confucius Temple Dacheng Hall, the Ancient City Wall, the Ancient Water Pass, and the Baoshan Bridge. There are also 25 ancient trees with different varieties such as walnut, green maple, maple poplar, and camphor.

The entire park is rich in cultural history and natural landscapes, which can not only provide visitors with a comfortable space for leisure and entertainment, but also a patriotic education base with characteristics.
