The inaugural Chinese team was Qiu Jun, Chen Yaoye, Yu Jiaxi, Tang Weixing, tan Xiao, and the Korean team consisted of Lee Sedol, Kang Dong-yun, Park Ting-huan, Kim Seung-jae and Kim Hyun-chan 8-7 in three rounds. The mixed doubles is a combination of elders and beautiful women, with Cao Dayuan/Zhang Yueran, Cao Xuanxuan/Wu Zheng'e, Lin Haifeng/Hei Jiajia tied for the championship, and Masaki Takemiya/Wan Bo Naisui is fourth.

In the 2019 mixed doubles tournament, it was changed back to the traditional model, and Wang Licheng and Yu Li, who were at the bottom four years ago, were paired with good character, first defeating South Korea's strong opponents Liu Changhe / Xu Ruiying, and then winning the championship due to Yu Bin / Gao Xing overtime in the momentum of defeat, and the fourth place was Japan's Yamada Norisei / Tsuji Hua. When Fan Tingyu lost to Li Dongxun in the first round, Chen Yaoye and Liao Yuanhe, the "one old and one young", worked together to defeat Li Changhao, Yamashita Keigo, Shin Zhenchen and Li Zhixian, Li Dongxun and Bian Xiangyi respectively, creating a great cause of winning the championship and runner-up. In 2021, in order to increase the number of chess players and the opportunities to participate in the national team, the selection tournament was expanded to three rounds, the number of participants doubled, and the top rankings of Ke Jie, Lian Xiao, Jiang Weijie, etc. gave up their qualifications.
