MOSCOW, Nov. 1 (Xinhua) -- Rozaria Valfalovskaya, leading researcher at the China Socio-Economic Research Center of the Institute of Far Eastern Studies of the Russian Academy of Sciences, said a few days ago that the China International Import Expo, as a business event, can contribute to the global economic recovery under the conditions of the new crown epidemic.
In a telephone interview with Xinhua News Agency, Valfalovskaya said that in the past three years, the CIIE has become a large-scale platform for international procurement, business and trade investment and people-to-people exchanges under the framework of open cooperation, and exhibitors have the opportunity to comprehensively display the achievements of their respective countries in the fields of trade in goods and services, investment and development, and industrial and tourism development.
Valfalovskaya noted that the number of participants, new technologies and new services in the first three CIIE sessions has been increasing, and the cumulative intention of the third CIIE has been 72.62 billion US dollars. "This shows that the EXPO is of great significance to both China and other countries."
The 4th CIIE will be held in Shanghai from November 5 to 10. Valfalovskaya said that at present, the epidemic is slowing down the growth rate of world economic growth, and the Expo will help accelerate the economic development and trade growth of various countries, including Russia and China.
She said that the Demand in China is huge, and the development potential of Russian exporters is great. Russian enterprises participating in the fourth CIIE will provide Chinese partners with food, agricultural products, machinery and equipment, medical equipment, pharmaceutical and health care products, automotive supplies and other commodities.
