She Shuang, also known as Nikki, and Nikki's acquaintance originated from the Hainan surfing activities at the end of May, the first time I met Nikki, it was her residence in Sun Moon Bay, which gave me the feeling of being a very thin girl, but it was such a skinny little girl who liked to surf this kind of sport that fought in the waves and stimulated.
An encounter under the sun, the beach, the sea breeze, an afternoon of conversation, and since then Nikki and Patagonia have formed an indissoluble bond.
Sun Moon Bay is a very magical place, and everyone who has come here will not want to leave, and I am no exception.
In 2015, I had already received an acceptance letter from a graduate student at New York University, and I had come to Sun Moon Bay with my friends to experience surfing and go to school in the United States. However, after coming to Sun Moon Bay, I was deeply fascinated by Sun Moon Bay. In the end, he chose to give up New York University and stay by the sea as a South Sea girl.
From the initial surfing white to the present, I still learn and progress, during which there have been ups and downs, and I have also had the idea of giving up, but every time I go to the sea to surf, I will dispel these thoughts, because I still remember the pleasure of catching the first wave.
There are a lot of interesting things happening during the surfing process, the most impressive thing is a typhoon wave I broke the board for the first time, everyone said that the broken board is a sign of the improvement of technology, for me this is the only way for me to grow up surfing.
It is a very happy thing for me to be able to do what I want to do and live my dream, especially to be a part of the Chinese surfing family.
Some people say that surfing is a way of life, and for me, surfing has become more than just a part of my life, but also a teacher of mine. Spending time with the sea, surfing has made me a lifelong learner, learning to be alone, learning to get along with them, learning to be grateful. I guess that's the beauty of surfing
Since Surfing joined the 2020 Olympics, I have also changed from being a fan of surfing competitions to a staff member related to surfing competitions.
For example, as the translator of the main speaker of the ISA surf instructor training, the interpreter of the referee of the 5th Hainan Games Surfing Competition, and so on.
As a longboard enthusiast, although I can't participate in the Olympic Games in person, it is a great joy to see the development of Surfing in China and the progress of our Chinese team members!
I often remind myself to be a responsible ronin, everything we get is a gift from the sea, we ourselves are active in protecting the environment, the sea is actually our office, and we are doing our best to protect the sea and protect marine life. For example, regular beach garbage removal activities are organized.
