The winners of the 2nd Yangtze River Delta Women's Calligraphy and Painting Competition

Since the launch of the second Yangtze River Delta Women's Calligraphy and Painting Competition in early June 2020, it has received strong support and active participation from calligraphers and painters in Shanghai, Zhejiang, Jiangsu and Anhui provinces and one city, and by August 25, the preliminary evaluation deadline and 1,032 calligraphy and painting submissions had been received. After the preliminary evaluation, a total of 458 calligraphy and painting works participated in the re-competition. On September 25, a jury composed of calligraphy and painting experts from three provinces and one city visited Jiaxing, the place where the red ship set sail, to carefully review the works that participated in the re-evaluation, and successfully completed various evaluation work. After the list is entered and checked, the results of the review are hereby announced as follows:

There are 3 gold medals, 3 silver awards, 20 bronze awards, 44 excellence awards and 40 exhibition awards in the Chinese painting group. There are 3 gold medals, 4 silver awards, 20 bronze awards, 40 excellence awards, and 40 exhibition awards in the calligraphy category. (List attached)

Thank you to all the contestants for their active participation, thank you to the judges and teachers for their strong support, and thank you for the hard work of the staff! The organizing committee of the competition will, as always, do a good job in the printing and framing of follow-up works to welcome the opening of the exhibition and the award ceremony in mid-to-late November.

For works that have not won awards, they will be returned according to the call for papers. And the preliminary evaluation of the selected non-award-winning authors to establish a talent pool, included in the Chinese calligraphy and painting women's thousand talents plan, strengthen contacts and exchanges, hire famous teachers, regularly carry out special training, and constantly improve artistic literacy, to make greater contributions to the construction of spiritual civilization and the prosperity and development of art in the Yangtze River Delta region!
