While Philadelphia 76ers fans chanted "We want Lillard" during Tuesday's game, Portland Trail Blazers coach Chansi Billups focused on him, seemingly smiling triumphantly at what the 76ers fans had done.

After the game, Billups was naturally asked what he thought of the season's most shameless new signing. Interestingly, the Trail Blazers coach didn't mind that. He also knows how the 76ers fans feel.

Who wouldn't want Lillard to join their ranks?

"I wasn't surprised at all. When they say we want Lillard, I mean we want it too. I can understand, I can understand. Philadelphia has a good fan base. They didn't punch, man. I've always appreciated this in the city," Billups said of the hymn.

Anyway, in addition to Billups, Damian Lillard himself expressed gratitude to the 76ers, who gave him a great deal of love (which may also be the apparent hatred of the fans towards Ben Simmons). But hey, there's a reason Philadelphia is called the City of Brotherly Love (right?)

Still, Lillard reiterated his commitment to the Trail Blazers. Unfortunately, the 76ers did not get their wish this time.
