A few days ago, the Hantai District Procuratorate of Hanzhong City released an indictment in which a man forcibly had sex with a 71-year-old deaf-mute woman, and was prosecuted by the prosecution.

According to the indictment, the man's surname is Liu, 59 years old, and his family lives in Yang County, Hanzhong City, Shaanxi Province.

The next day, the man was criminally detained by the police on suspicion of rape and was arrested shortly thereafter.

The Prosecution considers that the man who forcibly had sexual relations with the victim against the woman's will should be held criminally responsible for rape, because he confessed his guilt and accepted punishment voluntarily, and leniency was applicable.

The targets of their crimes are the elderly and the disabled, and they shall be given heavier punishments. Ultimately, prosecutors recommended sentencing the man to three years and three months in prison.
