Chapter 1: Moving

My name is Song Wen, male, 23 years old, born in a remote rural area.

I graduated from college last year. My major in college was criminal psychology. But because I didn't find a suitable job after graduation, I joined a small company to do marketing content. Usually the work is very busy, and then I also feel that there is no point, so I chose to resign. After resigning, it felt as if life didn't make much sense, and I lay in the rental house all day. But just two days ago, the landlord told me he was going to take the house back, so I had to find a new place. I looked at a lot of rental places nearby and didn't find a suitable one. So I picked a place farther away and found this hotel from an APP, which offers monthly rentals. The cheapest was the basement, so I rented it.

The weather in September was still very hot, I packed everything alone, although I usually don't like to buy things, but it seems that after living in the rental house for a while, there are still quite a few things, and I spent an evening to pack my bags. I called a small company for moving. Moved for me. So I moved to this little place in just one day. This hotel is a self-built house many years ago, the color of the house is a kind of pink and white, which looks very old, which reminds me of the kind of slum in the previous Hong Kong films.

The September sun is not as scorching as early summer, I like autumn very much, because I think autumn is a harvest season, I like the golden leaves on the trees, I walked around the community, I found that the whole community was built a long time ago, revealing a sense of vicissitudes of sunlight, through the woods in the community, through a little bit of light on the windowsill. It seems to bring a little dreamy color to the whole house, as if it is a kind of scene in a movie. I bought some groceries in the small supermarket opposite the hotel and went back to this rental house.

I carefully observed that this room was not very large and had a self-contained bathroom. The house has only one window, open next to the only grove in this neighborhood. It may be that there has been no one in the house for a long time, and there is a smell of decay in the wood, maybe it is the smell of the furniture that was placed before. I tried to push the window and found myself stuck. Because it is next to the woods, there are a lot of leaves falling on it, and it is also dirty. I think that not many people usually go inside this grove, then I don't have to care about this window, just let it open, I haven't managed it anymore.
