Nanjing Laoshan Stone is the latest discovered stone species after Yuhua Stone and Qixia Stone. In May this year, after the Nanjing Mochou Stone Appreciation Culture Research Association exhibited the old mountain stone for the first time in the Mochou Lake Scenic Area, it attracted great attention and great interest from the majority of stone friends in Nanjing and the whole country. At the end of October, the Mochou Lake Scenic Area held the first salon activity of "Mochou Stone", and a number of cultural masters started from the "Old Mountain Stone" to share the stone hunting process of the Old Mountain Stone to the citizens and tourists.
Shi Quan, honorary president of the Nanjing Mochou Stone Appreciation Culture Research Association, introduced that Laoshan stone refers to stone artworks produced in and around Laoshan mountain and with aesthetic, collectible, economic and commemorative value, including pictorial stone, modeling stone, mineral crystal and fossils. Laoshan stone and Qixia stone have commonalities, although its form is not as colorful as Taihu stone and Qixia stone, but it has the texture of Lingbi stone, which is relatively brittle and hard, with the milky white, ice jade and jade white and beige color of Taihu stone and Kunshi, a few contain shimmering metallic luster, and there are also sculptural textures similar to cloud brocade, which set these characteristics into one.
"The mountain is endless, and the fun of listening to the stones is endless." In the area of Laoshan Mountain, those thousands of diverse stones, pictograms, meanings, each has a thousand autumns, among which the turtle riding scriptures, Diaoyutai, Dragon Head Stone, Crouching Tiger Stone, Rhino Moon, Immortal Foot, Thunder Stone, Tiger Jumping Stream and so on are even more ingenious. Among them, the Turtle Riding Scripture is located at the mouth of the old Mountain East Mountain, exposed on the surface of the ground about 12 meters long, about 6 meters high, about 7 meters wide, and about 504 cubic meters in volume, which is the most representative boulder among them.
"The old mountain stone is of great significance for Pukou and even Nanjing tourism. The 28 views of Lao shan are closely related to strange stones, such as the Dragon Cave Guanyun (strange stones, caves), Dongshan Canyon (strange mountains and strange stones), patio exploration (stone general), and the Sacred Turtle Riding Sutra (the symbol of the strange stones of Laoshan Mountain). Keynote speaker Jin Changqing believes that it is believed that the old mountain stone will become a beautiful new business card of nanjing's stone appreciation culture.
