Sevilla officially announced on September 5 that the club had bought out 29-year-old Girona goalkeeper Yassine Bounou and signed him to a four-year contract.
The Morocco international became Sevilla's fourth signing this summer, with the top three players being Suso, Oscar Rodriguez and Rakitic. Earlier this week it was reported that Bono's transfer fee was €4 million.
Bono helped Sevilla win the Europa League last month and started in all four knockout matches. Against Roma and Wolves, Bono helped the team keep a clean sheet, making a series of key saves against Manchester United in the semi-finals and impressing again in the final win over Inter.
In fact, Bono made 18 appearances for Sevilla last season, six in La Liga, and after Vaclik's injury he became Sevilla's main goalkeeper.
