How can we completely eradicate this vicious weed as reeds?
Growth characteristics
Reed grass is a perennial herb that is widely distributed around the world, mainly in rhizome reproduction, and each stem node can grow into a reed. Because of its developed rhizome, the adaptability is very extensive, drought tolerance, flood resistance, heat tolerance is strong, especially in the summer and autumn of high temperature and rain, the rhizome spreads faster, can form a reed grass community in a short period of time, and compete with crops for water and fertilizer. It seriously affects the growth and development of crops, and will also breed a large number of diseases and insect pests.
Causes that are difficult to eradicate
The reason why reed grass is difficult to remove is partly due to its narrow leaves and small medicinal area. When the leaves are medicated, the stem will also secrete abscisic acid, so that the leaves fall off early, but the agent is difficult to conduct to the roots of the reeds through the vascular bundle, can not kill the roots, after the leaves fall off, it will also grow new branches and leaves from the axillary buds, on the other hand, the reeds have very developed rhizomes, the rhizome can grow both horizontally and vertically, the rhizome has a strong vitality, the depth can reach more than 1 meter, and it is difficult for ordinary agents to kill the rhizome. These reasons have made reeds very difficult to eradicate.
Prevention and control methods
Although reeds are more difficult to eradicate, suitable herbicides can also be selected for control, and reed control agents in different places are different.
(1) To prevent and control reed grasses on non-arable land such as roadsides, ponds, ditches, etc., 20% ammonium glufolia microemulsion can be used for 200 to 400 ml, and 30 kg of water can be evenly sprayed, which can kill the reeds and use them continuously for 2 to 3 years.
(2) Control of reed grass in corn fields. It can be sprayed with 24% nitro,smoke,000,000 ml of dispersible oil suspension agent, mixed with 20 to 30 kg of water, and can completely kill the reeds.
(3) To control reed grass in the field of peanuts, soybeans, cotton, vegetables and other broad-leaved crops, 90 ml of 10.8% high-efficiency fluoropyridoxine emulsion can be used, and 20 kg of water can be evenly sprayed to kill the reeds.
