On the 1st, the 15th Congress of the Chinese Democratic League in Changchun Successfully Completed the Agenda and Closed Successfully. The congress elected the 15th Changchun Municipal Committee of the China Democratic League, with Sun Junqi as the chairman.
The congress deliberated and adopted the "Report on the Work of the Fourteenth Committee of the Changchun Municipal Committee of the China Democratic League" and adopted the "Resolution of the Fifteenth Congress of the Changchun City of the China Democratic League." Sun Fengyue, vice chairman of the Municipal Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, attended the closing ceremony. Xu Hong, deputy director of the United Front Work Department of the Changchun Municipal CPC Committee, attended the meeting and delivered a speech.
The meeting fully affirmed the work of the 14th Changchun Municipal Committee of the China Democratic League. The congress held that in the past five years, under the leadership of the Changchun Municipal CPC Committee and the Jilin Provincial Committee of the China Democratic League, the Municipal Committee of the China Democratic League has adhered to the guidance of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, deeply studied the spirit of the series of important speeches of General Secretary of the CPC Central Committee, especially the important instructions of inspecting Jilin Province, firmly grasped the correct political direction, closely focused on the work of the whole city center, inherited and carried forward the fine traditions of the Democratic League, continuously strengthened ideological guidance, and opened up a new realm in ideological and political construction. Continuously laying a solid foundation for development, the level of organizational construction has achieved new breakthroughs. The effectiveness of performing duties has been continuously enhanced, and the capacity building of performing duties has stepped up to a new level. Constantly highlighting the brand characteristics, social service work has created a new situation, effectively performed the functions of local organizations participating in political parties, concentrated on fighting the new crown pneumonia epidemic, and made due contributions to Changchun's economic development and social progress, and all work has achieved remarkable results.
The meeting hoped that the new committee should accurately grasp the new development stage, firmly implement the new development concept, actively integrate into the new development pattern, fully implement the requirements and arrangements of the Changchun Municipal CPC Committee and the Jilin Provincial Committee of the China Democratic League, strengthen ideological and political guidance, enhance the sense of mission responsibility, strengthen ideals and convictions in grasping the overall situation, actively perform their duties and fulfill their responsibilities in serving the overall situation, strengthen self-construction in the process of passing on salaries and continuing fire, take the initiative in promoting development, and unite and lead the members of the league in the whole city to strive to create a new situation in the work of the Democratic League.
The conference called on all levels of the Citizens' League and all members to always adhere to the leadership of the Communist Party of China, unite more closely around the CPC Central Committee with Comrade Xi Jinping as the core, hold high the great banner of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, continuously enhance the "four consciousnesses", always strengthen the "four self-confidences", resolutely achieve the "two safeguards", unite their efforts, do solid work, have the courage to take responsibility, forge ahead, and take a higher political position, theoretical position, and the times position, with a more energetic and promising spirit. We should make every effort to fulfill the functions of participating political parties and make new and greater contributions to the comprehensive realization of Changchun's "14th Five-Year Plan" goal, to the comprehensive construction of a modern socialist country, and to the realization of the Chinese dream of the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.
The congress elected the 15th Committee of the 41-member Changchun Municipal Committee of the China Democratic League. At the first meeting of the new committee, a standing committee composed of 17 members was elected, Sun Junqi was elected as the chairman of the committee, and Dong Jian, Xie Naihe, Li Yuehong (female), Wang Chaoyong, Wang Yue, Gong Li (female), and Meng Anhua were elected as vice chairmen. The first plenary session of the 15th session appointed Wang Ting as secretary general of the Changchun Municipal Committee of the China Democratic League.
