Beijing News Express (reporter Sha Xueliang) Sanlitun "dirty street" transformation was completed a few days ago. The head of the Party Working Committee of Sanlitun Street in Chaoyang District said today that the two buildings on the north side of Building 42, North Sanli South, which used to be the most illegal construction in the past, will be built by the end of the year with an open and shared urban bookstore and a 24-hour bookstore.
Tang Yongtao, secretary of the Party Working Committee of Sanlitun Subdistrict, introduced that in the recent period, the street has rectified the surrounding environment of the two vertical and horizontal roads of Sanlitun Road, "Dirty Street" and Yaxiu North Road.
On the north side of Bar Street on Sanlitun Road, the relevant departments of the street demolished the illegal construction and built two boutique gardens, the Yushe Garden and the Yixin Garden, with a design style of one in the west. Zhao Yong, head of the street urban management department, introduced that after the transformation, 4,000 square meters of boutique gardens and more than 6,000 square meters of green space in the community were added nearby. At 10 a.m. today, Mr. Mao, 92, was walking around the Yushe Garden, saying that he could only walk around the only nearby Dongsanli Community Garden.
In the middle of Taikoo Li's north and south districts, Yaxiu North Road, the road surface was re-paved, and the fence of the residential area on both sides of the road was decorated with flower baskets, and the fence was newly paved green. The famous "Dirty Street" has been renovated, the former two- and three-story North Sanli South Building 42 has been restored to its original appearance, and a new green belt has been added to the east side of the building. "Dirty Street" was originally an unnamed street, and recently the Sanlitun Street Office named it "Sanlitun Back Street" and reported it to the District Geographical Names Office.
The two original bars on the north side of Building 42 have been vacated and will be converted into two reading places. On the north side is the urban bookstore covering an area of about 260 square meters, and the renovation is expected to be completed by the end of this month. With the design concept of open sharing, the City Bookstore will provide reading, cultural activities, cultural lectures and other services for residents around Tongli district and teachers and students of Sanlitun No. 1 Middle School after completion. On the south side of the 700 square meters of space, the street office will work with Sanlian Bookstore to create a 24-hour bookstore, which is expected to be completed by the end of this year.
Tang Yongtao, secretary of the Party Working Committee of Sanlitun Street, said that in the future, Sanlitun Back Street will present a multicultural neighborhood with bar street after the environment is upgraded, which is "quiet and suitable" and does not sleep, creating an "international fashion and cultural block".
