——Focus on the 5th Non-metallic Mineral Technology and Industry Forum

Chizhou News: Riding on the strong east wind of the 11th Congress of the Communist Party of China in Anhui Province, the "Fifth Non-Metallic Mineral Technology and Industry Forum" was held in Qingyang County, Anhui Province on October 31, 2021. In line with the firm concept of green environmental protection, the forum took "scientific and technological needs in the ecological and green development of non-metallic mineral industry" as the theme, attracting experts and scholars from domestic and foreign universities and institutes and heads of non-metallic mining enterprises to participate in the seminar.
At the opening ceremony of the forum, Fang Caosheng, governor of Qingyang County People's Government, made a speech on "Supporting New R&D Institutions and Promoting the High-quality Development of Non-metallic Mineral Industry"; Zhu Jianxi, a researcher at the Guangzhou Institute of Geochemistry of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, made a keynote speech on "Discussing the Frontiers of Mineralogy and Science and Technology and Supporting the High-quality Development of Mineral Industry"; Zhou Chunhui, President of Qingyang Non-Metallic Mineral Ore Research Institute and Professor of Zhejiang University of Technology, made a keynote speech on "Upgrading clean mining industry with science and technology, thinking about three-dimensional expansion of industrial chain".
The forum mainly discusses the practical problems and scientific and technological needs of non-metallic mineral science and industry, carries out multidisciplinary interdisciplinary and integrated academic exchanges, explores how to implement the "double carbon" strategy in the non-metallic mineral industry, promote technological innovation and industrial upgrading, and promote industry-university-research-government cooperation and the establishment of green mining and the whole industrial chain. Professor Giuseppe Falini of the University of Bologna in Italy, Professor Xu Huifang of the University of Wisconsin-Madison, Professor Zhou Chunhui and Dr. Liu Jiahui of the School of Chemical Engineering of Zhejiang University of Technology in Zhejiang Province, Zhejiang Province, delivered more than 20 online and offline lectures. During the forum, the Chizhou Non-metallic Mineral Industry Technology Innovation Strategic Alliance, the Qingyang County Non-Metallic Mineral Industry Association Enterprise Symposium, and the 2021 Annual Work Conference of the Mineral Physics and Mineral Structure Professional Committee of the Chinese Society of Mineralogy, Petrology and Geochemistry were held.
After listening to the scientific and technological reports and the industry-university-research-government symposium at the forum, the participating enterprises said that the "Qingyang Forum" not only attracted a lot of advanced science and technology and information to qingyang's non-metallic mineral industry in a timely manner, but also increased the interaction between the industry and high-level talents, strengthened the concept of green development, firmly established the idea of unifying green environmental protection and rapid development, and adhered to the development of green, value-added and resource-saving non-metallic mineral industry chains and industrial clusters.
As of this year, the Qingyang Non-metallic Mineral Technology and Industry Forum has been successfully held for five sessions in Qingyang County, and the wind of science and technology has brought obvious impetus and changes to the upgrading and transformation of local industries. Qingyang County is very rich in non-metallic mineral resources, limestone, calcite, dolomite and other reserves in the forefront of the country, other non-metallic mineral reserves are abundant, non-metallic mining enterprises are numerous, Youhua Town, Lingyang Town two townships by the Anhui Provincial Government identified as "Anhui Province non-metallic mining and deep processing industry cluster professional town". As one of the leading industries in Qingyang County, the local government has strengthened the leadership and drive transformation of science and technology, and has successfully transformed the industrial form from the state of "firing cannons to blow stones, grinding powder and burning lime" to a modern industrial park pattern of clean mining and ecological processing.
The five-year forum has borne fruit. "Calcium Carbonate Clean Processing and Product Chain" edited by Zhou Chunhui of Qingyang Institute of Nonmetallic Minerals and School of Chemical Engineering of Zhejiang University of Technology has been published by Chemical Industry Press and promoted at the opening ceremony of the altar theory. It is reported that the written to the needs of industrial development, a comprehensive collection and combing introduction of calcium carbonate science and technology, especially the analysis of the introduction of green value-added high-tech processing technology and product chain of the latest situation, progress and dynamics, and in-depth excavation, collection and collation of calcium inorganic compounds and organic compounds, the basic structure of calcium carbonate production, education and research knowledge system, the industrial technology and product chain development is clearly linked.
