A year later, in 1977, the Haggisons were living in the same place in London's Enfield district of England and were experiencing something very similar to the Amitivel House.

Later, the Warrens enter the Hajjson House to investigate, and find that the root of everything is the demon nun Valak, that is, the demon in the movie "The Nun", and finally the demon Valak is defeated by Laurie and sent back to hell.

In the end, the Warrens placed the diorama from the previous murder house incident near the Annabelle doll locked in a glass cabinet and the octagonal music box from the first part of The Conjuring.

8. The Conjuring 3: The Strange House (2021): Set in 1981

After five years of preparation and production, the third installment of the Conjuring 3 series is released today. Vera Famiga and Patrick Wilson return to play Laurie and Ed Warren, but in this one, Michael Chavez, director of The Crying Woman's Curse, succeeded Wen Ziren, the director of the first two films.

The Conjuring 3 is still based on a true story, and unlike the previous two Conjuring, the film revolves around a murder story planned by a demon. Set in 1981, the film begins with 8-year-old David being possessed by a demon and the Warrens being asked to exorcise him.

During a scuffle, David stabbed his father in the thigh with broken glass, Ed Warren also fainted from a heart attack, and David's sister Debbie's boyfriend, Arne Johnson, asked the demon to "take him away", after which the demon left the little boy and took possession of Arne's body.

Possessed by demons, Arn's personality becomes eccentric and produces some hallucinations. During a hallucination, Arne accidentally killed his roommate Bruno with a knife, so the 19-year-old Arne was charged with murder, however, Arne testified that he was possessed by a demon during the murder. The Warrens learned of the incident and were ready to help Arne, hoping to drop the charges against Arne.

Five months ago, David's family had just moved into the house. David was playing in a waterbed room, but felt a mysterious monster in the waterbed, and that was the first time he felt the presence of a demon.

Together, Ed and Laurie Warren begin to investigate the demons, and they find the mysterious wizard totem in the cellar under the former waterbed, which satanists used to curse others in their rituals, a curse that was passed from David to Arne.

The Warrens visit the priest Castner, who appears in the Annabelle series, and say that the Satanists who make wizarding totems are complicated things to do, but the Warrens eventually discover that the Satanists are run in Castner's house.

The Warrens follow the clues to the forest, but Laurie is controlled by the mysterious power in the forest, falls into hallucinations, begins to lose his way, and finally almost falls off a cliff.

The Satanic knew that Ed and Laurie were hunting him down. Therefore, his ultimate goal is to possess Ed and then kill Laurie. The curse requires three more victims to complete, and if the altar from which the totem comes is destroyed, the curse can be broken.

Eventually, the Warrens discover that the Satanic mystic is the daughter that Castner secretly raised in the church. Horrificly, his daughter tries to control Ed to kill Laurie, and also controls Arne, nearly causing him to commit suicide in prison.

Laurie approached Kastner and asked him why he had been hiding it, when his daughter followed. Castner told Laurie to leave quickly, but was eventually killed by his own daughter.

On the prison side, Arn, who is possessed by the demon, is out of control, and the priest next to him reads the Bible to exorcise him, but the demon makes Arne use glass to hurt himself, and is finally stopped by his girlfriend Debbie.

On the other hand, Ed is controlled by the mystics, who try to exploit the weakness of the relationship between the Warrens and control Ed to hurt Laurie.

However, the Warrens' love for each other was too strong, and eventually became a "weapon" against the curse of the mystics, lifting the curse. Because mystics who sell their souls to demons are forced to keep their promises and become victims.

In the end, the Warrens destroyed the altar together, saving themselves and Ann.

At the end of the film, Ed Warren places the cups from the altar in their heritage room, which also houses paintings by the demon nun Valak and Annabelle dolls.

At the end of the film, Arne is still convicted of murder, but because he is possessed by a demon, he only needs to serve a five-year sentence, which is also a relatively happy ending for him.
