Datang Jiangsu Xutang Power Generation Co., Ltd. Unit 5 is a 320MW unit, put into operation in 2002 to generate electricity, the control system DCS originally used imported products, the components are seriously aging, the failure rate is increasing year by year, and there are serious hidden dangers in the safe operation of the unit. Under the background of the country attaching great importance to energy security and accelerating the construction of an independent and controllable industrial chain system, Datang Xutang Power Generation actively responded to the call of Datang Group to promote the comprehensive localization of the control system, and took the lead in starting the independent and controllable transformation of DCS.
At the same time, as the domestic energy supply continues to tighten, the situation of energy supply is becoming more and more severe. Datang Xutang Power Generation firmly established the belief of "power preservation first", actively responded to the requirements of the Energy Bureau and relevant ministries and commissions, took the initiative to shoulder the main responsibility of power protection, determined to accelerate the completion of the transformation of Unit 5, and strived to take the lead in realizing the full line of power generation of in-service units.

The independent and controllable DCS transformation work officially began on October 1, with a scheduled construction period of 35 days. Two weeks after the renovation started, the construction period needed to be compressed to 25 days, and on October 18, the site received an emergency notice, and Unit 5 needed to start up around October 22, which was half a month earlier than the original plan!
In the face of this almost impossible task, the senior leaders of Keyuan Wisdom attach great importance to it and urgently send group-level notification documents, requiring all employees to follow the customer-centric values, overcome difficulties together, share worries for users, take responsibility for the country, actively allocate resources, and fully cooperate with users to complete their goals.
The Keyuan project team urgently deployed 11 project personnel to the scene overnight to help, and the total number of people involved in the project reached 22. Under the efficient organization, the whole project team of Keyuan carried forward the working spirit of "not afraid of hardship, only striving for the first-class", and threw themselves into the project struggle. More than 20 hours of high-load on-site work every day, sleepy squint for a while, under the high intensity of individual team members have colds and fevers, physical illness, but they all insist on minor injuries not under the line of fire, still fighting in the front line.
