The name of "Zhongquan College" comes from the most influential student organization in the school, the "Research Group of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Dialectics" and the journal "Chinese Medicine and Dialectics". In his speech, Xu Lian, vice president of Chengdu University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, reviewed the founding process of the community organization. In 1982, under the influence of Professor Hou Zhanyuan, then consultant of Chengdu University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, and other teachers, the 78th grade students of the school initiated the establishment of this organization and continues to this day, which is the longest professional academic group of Chengdu University of Traditional Chinese Medicine. In the same year, the magazine "Chinese Medicine and Dialectics" sponsored by the Student Office of Chengdu University of Traditional Chinese Medicine was also launched, which was the first chinese medicine college, and has been running for 39 consecutive years and publishing 76 issues. "Chinese Medicine and Dialectics" is not only a student magazine, but also a carrier for inheriting the culture of Traditional Chinese medicine. Relying on this journal, a large number of scientific research activities for students have been carried out, among which the academic exchange meeting for college students began in 1985 and has been held for 36 sessions, and the school's Traditional Chinese medicine knowledge competition was founded in 2004 and has been held for 17 sessions.
