Punk Dungeons is a biopic about the life of Hilly Kristal, the founder of CBGB, a famous Punk rock club in New York, played by Alan Rickman as a legend who has a place in the history of American pop culture. CBGB, whose full English name is "CBGB OMFUG", is short for Country Bluegrass Blues, and the bar named after it, as the name suggests, the owner Heineken Christo wants to gather a group of young people who like grassroots blues or alternative music as much as they do.
Founded in 1973, New York's Lower East Side bar, Aaron Rickman's Christo has a requirement for the bands that come to his site to perform —they can only perform their own original music, and his credo is to support artists at all costs, so his bar called CBGB naturally became a testing ground for underground rock and punk bands and developed into the birthplace of musical culture.
For example, in this film, Mikay Sumner will play the heroine petty Smith, Joe David Moore will play joe Raymond, the lead singer of the legendary punk band Raymonds, Kyle Garner will play the lead singer and guitarist Lou Reid of the underground velvet band, and taylor Hawkins of the Spitfire fighter band will play the godfather of punk music, Ike Pop. In the trailer, we can see that these music celebrities who sound like thunder today are green in the small bars of that year.
