On the morning of October 17, the second mountaineering festival of Yuntan Town in 2021 was held in the Xinhua Village Committee of Yuntan Town, Gaozhou City, Maoming, and nearly 1,000 party members and cadres and mountaineering enthusiasts from the jurisdiction of Yuntan Town participated in the mountaineering activities.

At the launching ceremony of the event, the Yuntan Town Government announced the Yuntan Town Image Logo for the public solicitation, and the selected logo was based on the "Cloud" character + Sanguan Mountain + auspicious bird as the basic design element, the image, concise, bright and full of characteristics and connotations, with strong artistry, appeal and sense of the times, which can play the role of promoting Yuntan Town to the greatest extent.
At the scene of the mountaineering festival, a special agricultural product display area was also set up, and the agricultural and sideline products such as sweet potatoes, beef offal, guava, bamboo shoots, macadamia nuts, agarwood and other agricultural and sideline products in Yuntan Town were exhibited, and the achievements of industrial development and rural revitalization in Yuntan Town were comprehensively displayed.

It is understood that this year's climbing line is a newly built line, the line belongs to the western line, starting from the beautiful countryside of Yuntan Town Xinhua Village Committee Changtang Village, a total of 8.7 kilometers, starting from the foot of the mountain, passing through the Arch Stone, Baishui Waterfall Observatory, Pinghe Reservoir, Sanguan valley tea farm, Shengguantai, etc., and finally reached the end apron. This mountaineering route not only has the unique natural landscape of Sanguan Mountain, the steep and beautiful scenery, but also the cultural landscape showing the beautiful countryside, water conservancy improvement, comprehensive water system management, and comprehensive disaster reduction demonstration community construction.

It is understood that Yuntan Town is located in the eastern part of Gaozhou City and belongs to the old revolutionary area. The landform of the town is basin-like, surrounded by mountains on all sides, and the forest coverage rate is 52.92%. In recent years, Yuntan Town has given full play to the advantages of "three colors" resources such as red culture, green ecology and special cuisine, and promoted the comprehensive revitalization of Yuntan Town. Focus on building a number of scenic spots such as Xinhua Ecological Sanguan Mountain, Pearl Red Revolution Site, Reading Gang National Comprehensive Disaster Reduction Demonstration Community, and Beautiful Wei Town, and connect them into a rural tourism boutique route. In terms of the development of characteristic industries, there are popping king sweet potatoes, bamboo shoots, guavas, bird's nest fruits, alpine tea, etc.; the breeding industry includes alpine cattle, pond pigs, white pigeons, etc. Among them, the scale of sweet potato planting is 15,000 mu, and the entire output value accounts for 30.2% of the total output value of the agricultural industry, in addition, the idle and fragmented land is also transferred through land circulation, and the alpine tea and alpine cattle industry is developed by breeding large households, cooperatives, family farms and other business entities. A few days ago, Yuntan Town also won the title of the third batch of provincial-level "one village, one product, one town and one industry" professional town (sweet potato).
The relevant person in charge of the Yuntan Town Government said that the theme of this year's Mountaineering Festival is "Climbing a New Route and Taking a New Step", and by taking a new road and opening a new situation, we will comprehensively create a road of rural revitalization and development. In the future, Yuntan Town will rely on the scenic resources of Sanguan Mountain to build a healthy and leisure rural tourism resort, drive the comprehensive economic development of Xinhua Village, and create a model for rural revitalization of Yuntan.
