Wong Sohan, coaching director of the Malaysian Badminton Association, revealed that due to the current number of men's singles players in the Malaysian national team, he must re-evaluate the format of the team's confrontation matches.

Compared to other events, the men's singles has 13 players, including freelancers and players in probation, which will increase the difficulty of the schedule, especially the Malaysian Badminton Association originally intended to play this intra-team tournament in a single round robin format.
'Players have to deal with 5 games in every tournament and there are currently 12 roster players and we will divide them into two sections to make sure every player can feel the atmosphere of the game.
Still, the intra-team match will be staged as scheduled and is expected to begin at the end of August to help the players get back in shape through real matches.
The last time a Malaysian player played international was at the All England tournament in March this year.
