In 2010, Yang Qin, who teaches at Huaqiu Primary School in Tantou Township, took the lead in founding the "Yanjin County Ivy League Love Transmission Team" (referred to as the Ivy League) with his colleagues, and in 2017, he established the "Confidant Sister (Brother)" project. With the good reputation and brand formed by the "Ivy League" for many years, many college students actively participated in the project, acting as "confidant sister (brother)" free of charge to help primary and secondary school students in difficulty. At present, the "Ivy League" has 699 registered volunteers, providing 22,336 hours of volunteer services for the society, pairing up to fund 1,060 poor students, and raising more than 7.8 million yuan in various donations, becoming the largest public welfare education organization in Yanjin County, ranking tenth in the number of service hours among 1572 volunteer service teams in Yunnan Province.

Through the "Ivy League", 64 poor students have been paired up to help 64, with a total of 249,500 yuan in bursaries, and the students who have helped have become the main forces of the "Ivy League" and "Confidant Sister (Brother)", forming a good cycle and inheritance.

The Shuitian New Area Relocation Site is the largest in Yanjin County, with more than 890 children at the primary school level. During the 2020 outbreak of new crown pneumonia, Yang Qin visited and found that many children either wandered around the community after school early, or watched TV and played with mobile phones at home. Therefore, a number of college students who have not started school because of the epidemic and are stranded at home have launched a "mobile small book stall" activity to guide children to "read more and read good books". In September 2020, Yang Qin took the initiative to apply to teach at Shuitian No. 2 Primary School, and used his spare time every day to volunteer for an hour and a half at the Youth Home of the New Era Civilization Practice Center in Shuitian New District. Every Sunday, he also took the children to pick up garbage in the community, and more than 1,000 students became "Aiwei Volunteers" under the inspiration and leadership of Teacher Yang Qin. During the holidays, he also organizes college student volunteers to take the children on morning runs, learn art, practice calligraphy, and provide homework tutoring.
