The list of shortlisted short films for the competition is officially announced

The Annecy International Animation Festival announced a list of 40 short films that entered its official competition, and according to its published data, it collected a total of 3,000 works from 86 countries in 2019, a large number of which came from the United States, France and the United Kingdom. 45% of the shortlisted works are directed or co-directed by women. Fifteen of the shortlisted works were produced in Asia.

A few days ago, the Annecy International Animation Festival announced that the honor guests of honor in Japan this year will be director Yôichi Kotabe from Toei Animation, and the Japanese judges of the jury include Yoshiaki Nishimura and Koji Yamamura. An anthology of animated short films from Ponoc Studios, Heroes of our time, will premiere in France at the Festival.

The 2019 Zagreb Animation Festival's Short Film Competition category received a total of 1,800 short films from 86 countries, of which 46 short films were shortlisted for the primary. The results of the preliminary selections for the Short Films, Croatian Films and Student Competition categories are currently announced at the Festival, with the final results announced during the Festival from 3 to 8 June.

The 13th International Animation Production Day selected 50 selected works

The Animation Day APD is an important part of the Stuttgart International Animation Festival and FMX Congress in Stuttgart, Germany, which focuses on animation, special effects, games and immersive media. At the Animation Day, attendees can hold one-on-one meetings to talk about co-production, investment and distribution of the series.
As the most important commercial platform in the German animation industry, 1/3 of the projects exhibited in the previous years of Animation Production Day have been successfully produced.
