Author: Sudenko
Xinhui, known as Gangzhou in ancient times, is a famous historical and cultural city in Guangdong, which is now part of Jiangmen City, Guangdong Province. In the first year of the Southern Dynasty (420 AD), it was ordered to divide the nanhai and Xinning counties into two counties to establish Xinhui County. The name of the new association began from then on. Xinhui County was divided from Song Gaozong Shaoxing in the twenty-second year (1152) to Xiangshan County, Ming Jingtai in the third year (1452) to Shunde County, Chenghua fourteenth year (1478) to Enping County, Ming Hongzhi eleventh year (1498) to Xinning County, Qing Shunzhi in the sixth year (1649) to Kaiping County, Yongzheng Decade (1732) to Heshan County. After that, the territory was fixed, and there was no major change until the end of the Qing Dynasty and the Republic of China. In October 1992, Xinhui County was established as a city.
