"Taiwan is the treasure island of the motherland, and Taiwan's future is by no means a 'Taiwan internal affair', but a matter of China's sovereignty and territorial integrity, which can only and must be jointly decided by all Chinese people." The complete reunification of the motherland is the future of Taiwan. That's the verdict. On October 27, the Taiwan Affairs Office of the State Council held a regular press conference, and spokesman Ma Xiaoguang made the above response in response to the question that "the DPP authorities recently falsely claimed that the so-called 'constitutional revision' is entirely Taiwan's internal affair."
Ma Xiaoguang said: We resolutely oppose any form of "revising the Constitution and seeking independence" or any other attempt to split the country, and seeking "independence" will be severely punished. All responsible political parties and people of insight on the island should see through the conspiracy of the DPP authorities and take concrete actions to safeguard peace and stability in the Taiwan Strait and the well-being of the Taiwan people. The broad masses of Taiwan compatriots should also be highly vigilant and consciously oppose and resist all forms of "constitutional revision and seeking independence."
China's representation in the United Nations, of course, includes Taiwan
In response to U.S. officials' false claims that China "misused" UN General Assembly Resolution 2758, Ma Xiaoguang pointed out that the UN is an intergovernmental international organization composed of sovereign states. Taiwan is not a country, it is an inalienable part of China's territory, and China's representation in the United Nations certainly includes the representation of all of China, including Taiwan.
Ma Xiaoguang said: 50 years ago, the 26th session of the UN General Assembly adopted Resolution 2758 by an overwhelming majority, deciding to restore all the rights of the People's Republic of China in the United Nations and recognizing that the representatives of the Government of the People's Republic of China are the only legitimate representatives of China in the United Nations. General Assembly Resolution 2758 clearly and thoroughly resolves the issue of China's representation in the United Nations politically, legally and procedurally.
He pointed out that before the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and the United States, the United States had a bad record of trying to engage in "two Chinas" at the United Nations, which ultimately ended in failure. The day Resolution 2758 was adopted was also the time when the so-called "dual representation" proposal put forward by the United States and other countries was rejected. The mistake of some people in the United States is to ignore historical and legal facts, deny the authority of GENERAL Assembly resolution 2758, try to overturn the case, and confront the majority of the international community.
Ma Xiaoguang said: Taiwan is a part of China. The participation of the Taiwan region in international organizations and their activities must be handled in accordance with the one-China principle. The mistake of some people in the United States is that they ignore the one-China principle and the basic norms governing international relations, and even run counter to the US Government's repeatedly reiterated position of "not supporting Taiwan's membership in any international organization that must be joined by a sovereign state." The DPP authorities have long clamored for such fallacies as "Taiwan's representation" and "Taiwan's international space, that is, they want to separate Taiwan from China, and their essence is to engage in "Taiwan independence." The mistake of some people in the United States lies in the fact that they have encouraged the DPP authorities' "Taiwan independence" behavior and run counter to the US Government's long-standing stand of not supporting "Taiwan independence."
Ma Xiaoguang said: We urge relevant officials of the US Government to scrupulously abide by the US Government's stand of not supporting "Taiwan independence" with practical actions, abide by the one-China principle and the stipulations of the three Sino-US joint communiques, be cautious in words and deeds on the Taiwan issue, and refrain from sending wrong signals to the "Taiwan independence" forces.
Only by curbing "Taiwan independence" and provoking peace in the Taiwan Strait can there be guarantees
A reporter asked: In view of the PLA's recent training activities in the Taiwan Strait, Qiu Tai, chairman of the Taiwan Mainland Affairs Council, said three days ago that "the layout of a quasi-state of war" has been reached, and he has been accused of manipulating "fear of China, which has aroused doubts." Qiu Taisan, Su Zhenchang, Chen Mingtong and others later added that "no one wants war" and "if there is no emergency, there will be no war during Tsai Ing-wen's term of office." Any comments on this?
Ma Xiaoguang said in response to an inquiry that the DPP authorities and the "Taiwan independence" forces collude with external forces, constantly carry out "independence" provocations, and nakedly sell the "two-state theory." This is the root cause of the current tense and turbulent situation in the Taiwan Strait. Ma Xiaoguang also said that these remarks have precisely exposed the hypocritical nature of the DPP authorities in manipulating "anti-China" and "fearful of China" populism and creating confrontation between the two sides of the strait, while falsely declaring "maintaining the status quo and hoping for peace." Any attempt to "independence" and refuse reunification will eventually be liquidated

The "Taiwan independence" acts of Wu Zhaoxie and his ilk cannot change the ironclad fact that Taiwan is a part of China or shake the international pattern of one China.
Ma Xiaoguang pointed out: We oppose any form of official exchanges between The Taiwan region and the countries that have established diplomatic relations with China, and this position is consistent and clear. We urge relevant countries to be consistent in words and deeds, abide by the one-China principle with practical actions, prudently and properly handle the Taiwan issue, refrain from providing a stage and facilitation for the "Taiwan independence" separatist forces, and refrain from sending any wrong signals to the "Taiwan independence" separatist forces.
