The garbage strip mentioned by Mr. Zhou is located on an internal road behind Block A of Dongyuan Time Square. At about 3 p.m. on the 1st, the reporter came here to find that the road was about 70 or 80 meters long, and one of the 40 or 50 meters long roads was piled with all kinds of construction waste and kitchen waste, and the road that was originally three or four meters wide was only one meter wide. Walking along the garbage belt, the reporter found that there were seven or eight large garbage cans at the end of the road, but there was little garbage inside.
"Obviously, it is a place where construction waste is temporarily piled up, and there are always people dumping kitchen waste here, and the oil stains on the ground, and the stench emitted is disgusting..." Seeing the reporter come to interview, a businessman rushed up to complain. He told reporters that this road is the internal road of Dongyuan Time Square, usually few people go, the property has set up a place to pile up construction waste here, used to temporarily store the decoration garbage of merchants, but in recent times, there are always merchants who secretly dump kitchen waste here, and over time, a long garbage belt has been formed.
The reporter saw that the place where the kitchen waste was piled up the most was located at the back door of a merchant, and the black garbage bags scattered on the ground revealed the deteriorated and moldy bones, meat and meals mixed with oil, etc., not only the smell was pungent and hygienic, but the spilled oil also flowed to the door of the merchant.
"We usually keep the back door closed and dare not open, the smell and mosquitoes are unbearable." The owner of the business, Mr. Chen (pseudonym), said that he watched his back door being encroached on by the kitchen waste a little bit, "Since the last half a month, when I open the door in the morning, I will find that there is a lot of garbage thrown in front of the door, and many of our merchants have reflected with the property in time, but I have not seen anyone to deal with it." Mr. Chen said angrily that there are garbage cans for kitchen waste more than twenty meters ahead, but some merchants are too lazy to take more than a few steps.
At the same time, another merchant also confirmed that this phenomenon had only begun in the last half a month, and he observed that most of the garbage was discarded by a hot pot restaurant called Shu Jiuxiang. "I saw the staff in restaurant costumes pushing a four-wheeled trolley and dumping the kitchen waste in black plastic bags here."
Property Company: The hot pot restaurant involved will be punished
During the reporter's interview, a property staff member also came to the scene. He confirmed to reporters that they were aware of the situation reported by the merchants, and according to the video surveillance, they contacted the person in charge of the Shujiuxiang hot pot restaurant and issued a rectification notice.
The reporter saw in a notice of illegal rectification issued by a property company on October 28: After the merchant reported it, the order department verified that your merchants illegally discarded kitchen waste into the construction waste pool, which is easy to breed bacteria and viruses, which seriously affects the health and safety of the commercial street and the appearance of the city.
At the same time, in the rectification opinion, it is written that the merchant is limited to completing the rectification before October 30, 2021, otherwise it will be responsible for all losses caused.
The property staff said that after receiving the rectification notice, the Shujiuxiang hot pot shop did not rectify and clean up the discarded garbage as scheduled, and today the property came to the scene again to collect evidence and deal with it.
About half an hour later, a large forklift and 3 garbage removal trucks came to the scene to clean up the garbage.
The staff of the Xujiapeng Sanitation Office, who was responsible for cleaning, introduced that they came after receiving the notice of the property. "We usually clean up the construction waste piled up here on a regular basis, and we rarely see kitchen waste. We were notified today that someone had discarded food waste here, and we will immediately clean it up and wash the pavement. The staff member said that the preliminary estimate is that the garbage should be filled with at least 7 garbage trucks.
At about 4 p.m., the entire road was cleared of garbage.
Property staff said that next, they will supervise the random dumping of garbage. For the Shu Jiu Xiang restaurant involved, the property will punish it in accordance with relevant regulations. "We also hope that all merchants can improve their quality and stop dumping kitchen garbage here."
At about 7 p.m. on the 1st, the reporter contacted Mr. Wang, the person in charge of Shu Jiuxiang Restaurant, who told reporters that there had indeed been cases of employees discarding kitchen waste before, but the reason was that the garbage cans set up by the property were not enough, and the employees casually threw them at the construction waste dumping point, "It did cause a bad impact on environmental health, we have trained employees, and kitchen waste must be put into the garbage can." ”
