Han's ancestors share the same surname as Zhou Tianzi. His descendants were to serve the Jin Dynasty and were sealed in Hanwon, known as Han Wuzi. Three generations after Han Wuzi had Han Yue.
In the third year of the Reign of Duke Jing of Jin (597 BC), the Jin state si Kou Tu'an Jia was about to rebel, saying that he was zhao dun, a thief who had killed Linggong. Zhao Dun was already dead and was about to kill his son Zhao Shuo. Han Yue stopped Tu AnJia, but Tu An Jia did not listen. Han Yue went to tell Zhao Shuo to let him escape. Zhao Shuo said, "You will certainly not cut off the descendants of the Zhao clan, and I will have no resentment after I die." Han Yu agreed to him. When Tu'an Jia destroyed the Zhao clan, Han Yu said that he was ill and could not leave the house. Cheng Bao and Gongsun Usu hid Zhao Wu, an orphan of the Zhao clan, and Han Yue knew about it.
In the eleventh year of the Duke of Jing, the State of Jin set up six secretaries, and Han Yu was ranked as a first secretary, with the title of Xianzi.
In the seventeenth year of Jing Gong, Jing Gong fell ill, and the result of divination was that the descendants of The Great Cause were unhappy people. Han Yue praised Zhao Wan's merits and said that he had no one to continue the incense now to impress Jing Gong. Jing Gong asked, "Does he have any offspring?" Han Yue talked about Zhao Wu at that time, so Jing Gong gave him Zhao's original Tian Yi back to him and asked him to continue Zhao's incense.
In the seventh year of the Jin Dynasty (566 BC), Han Xianzi died of old age. After the death of Xianzi, his son Han Xuanzi succeeded to the title.
In the fifteenth year of the Reign of Jin (497 BC), Xuanzi died, and his son Han Zhenzi succeeded to the title.
Han Zhenzi died and was succeeded by his son Jian Zi. Han Jianzi died and was succeeded by his son Zhuangzi. Han Zhuangzi died and was succeeded by his son Kangzi. Together with Zhao Xiangzi and Wei Huanzi, Han Kangzi defeated Zhibo and divided his territory.
After Han Kangzi's death, he was succeeded by his son Wuzi. Han Wuzi died and his son Han Jinghou took the throne.
In the sixth year of the Reign of The Marquis of Jing (403 BC), Han was recognized as a vassal state along with Zhao and Wei. History calls the three branches of the Jin.
