Jinan Kindergarten High School is the alma mater of Wang Gemei, a major representative of the Communist Party of China. How to get up close to this legend? How to better build the spiritual outlook of the school through the red education resources around you?
"Based on the advantages of red cultural resources and scientific research talents, we have built seven major systems for the inheritance of red culture, including environmental construction, scientific research investment, education system, cultural innovation, honor incentives, talent teams, etc., integrating party history study and education into ideological and political education and school culture construction, transforming learning results into work results and work motivation, and producing fruitful results." The Jinan Kindergarten High School established the "Wang Gemei and the Early Party Organization Research Association of the CPC" and built a special memorial hall, which gathered many historical materials of Wang Gemei collected and sorted out, and the research results about Wang Gemei were gathered in the memorial hall. In Jinan Kindergarten High School, there is a compulsory school-based course "Perfection". In order to make the red education resources approach the students in a more vivid way, teacher Zhang Wenming of the school created the Shandong Zizi red historical drama "Wang Gemei", which reproduced the life of Wang Gemei's revolution. Inspired by Wang Gemei's spirit, he gloriously joined the Communist Party of China in 2019.
In May 2021, Liu Shuting and Wang Liying, students of Jinan Kindergarten and High School, participated in the "Red Story Interpretation Contest" sponsored by the Propaganda Department of the Jinan Municipal Party Committee and other departments, and put the stories of revolutionary martyrs such as alumni Wang Gemei on the podium and won the title of "Gold Medal Explainer" of this competition.
