Cessco Fabregas called former Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard the "toughest opponent" he met when he put on his Arsenal uniform. The Spanish legend now represents Monaco in Ligue 1, where he represented the Gunners in north London for eight years, during which time he witnessed the club's most successful period, when they won the Premier League season in 2003/04 unbeaten fashion.

Fabregas met many formidable midfield opponents during his time in the Premier League for Arsenal, who also played for Chelsea between 2014 and 2019, but revealed that the former Liverpool captain forced him to do his best to improve his playing.
