August this year is Foshan's first national reading month. The reporter learned today that from mid-August, the city's five district public libraries will be closely linked, and will successively launch red story meetings and theme lectures, and story masters, party school professors, social celebrities, anti-epidemic pioneers, and famous writers will take turns to board the forum of the five district libraries for reading and sharing.
Different from previous Augusts, this year Foshan not only hosted the Foshan branch of the "2021 Southern Book Festival", but also ushered in an important cultural festival belonging to Foshan people - the first Foshan National Reading Month. The Measures for the Administration of Foshan Public Libraries, which came into effect on May 1 this year, as the first administrative regulation in the cultural field of Foshan, stipulate that August of each year is the reading month for the whole people of Foshan.
From August 14, the Red Story Club and thematic lectures will be launched in the city's five district public libraries. Combined with the Foshan branch of the "2021 Southern Book Festival", during this year's National Reading Month, story masters, party school professors, social celebrities, anti-epidemic pioneers, and famous writers will hold story meetings and lectures around the themes of red stories, red culture, party history learning, reading experience and so on.

The public libraries in the five districts of Foshan all have their own story club brands, including the bee and bee story club in Chancheng, the "Rainbow Bridge" story club, the osmanthus tree under the south China Sea, the big windmill story club in Shunde, the painting and reading story club in Sanshui and the clever rainbow story club. From August 14th to 29th, Red Story will be used by the story masters of the above six brands to go to different libraries to bring more colorful story experiences to children in the fifth district with their own brand story features.

During the period, Yu Man, the founder of Luming Language Arts, was invited as a keynote speaker to tell the story of Chen Tiejun, a martyr of the Foshan Revolution, to children in different locations in the five districts of Foshan. The person in charge of the Office of the Foshan Branch of the 2021 Southern Book Festival and the First National Reading Month Activity Organizing Committee of Foshan City introduced that he hopes to spread red culture in the form of red stories, enhance the attractiveness of red education, let the red seeds take root in the hearts of the next generation, and let the fire of faith be inherited and carried forward in the next generation.
The lecture on the theme of party history and reading is the most colorful chapter of this year's National Reading Month. Taking turns to appear on the podium of the Five District Library are members of the Guangdong Party History Propaganda Group, national first-class actors, screenwriters, directors and winners of the best actor of Magnolia, as well as advanced figures in the frontline of the fight against the epidemic, children's literature writers, cartoon characters Pleasant Goat voice actors, and so on. They will combine their own fields and share topics with readers through online and offline methods.
