Continuing our mountain theme, Aspen – as the name suggests – is impressively set against the backdrop of its majestic snow-capped mountains. Head to maroon Bells' iconic landscape and gaze at the mirror-like lake to see the double: on calm days, mountains and trees are reflected in the tranquil, still water.
Catskill, Upstate New York
If you find that falling in one state isn't enough, head to Catskills, where you can see five states at the same time. Head to North Catskill Mountain in the Green Countryside and head to Wyndham's "Five States Observation Deck," where you can see beautiful views of the treetops of New York, Vermont, Connecticut, Massachusetts, and New Hampshire, as well as the Hudson River Valley.
