Recently, I feel that the American drama is not picking up, what are all my friends watching?
Since last year's rear wing abandonment, I have not seen a cool drama, and I can only eat with boring variety shows every day. Last week, I saw "Coyote", a look at the introduction, a bit interesting, drug trafficking and internal rape related themes.
It's just that the taste cultivated by drug lords and breaking bad/outlaws is a bit tricky. The coyote has seen the routine after watching two episodes, but still has to watch it hard, watching it in the first season of only 6 episodes.
Let's put it this way, as a next meal drama, it is also worth recommending, but don't expect too much. At least the first season is still a lot away from the classics, even high-quality episodes.
The protagonist of the story is a retired border policeman: Ben, whose day job is to catch stowaways from the U.S.-Mexico border — all smuggled from Mexico to the United States, of course — after a thrilling retirement, he is tied to a Mexican gangster because of a pregnant girl. The gang threatens him with Ben's family, asking him to run errands for the gang, not only to rescue the imprisoned boss, but also to smuggle guns, and more unexpected things are waiting for him...
The character setting and framework of the story are a bit similar to the Breaking Bad, and ordinary people with a skill are forced to go to the end of the road, and the black and white two voids and snakes, in the cracks to survive. It's just that the plot is too simple, the characters are facialized, and the performance is only a passing level. There is no Breaking Bad who always reveals his thoughts on human nature.
Of course, "Coyote" also has its merits, first of all, the number of episodes is small, it seems that there is no burden; secondly, the suspense design is not bad, the entertainment is strong; and finally there is a handsome guy who appears as an important character, which is a bit pleasing to the eye.
Summary: When there is no drama to watch, you may wish to glance at it once or twice, it is not a waste of time.
