August 25 this year is the ninth National Low Carbon Day, but also the third day of the Energy Conservation Publicity Week, in order to publicize the concept of green and low-carbon development, improve the public's awareness of low-carbon environmental protection, so as to take positive action, energy conservation and emission reduction, the Jianghan District Bureau of the Municipal Bureau of Ecology and Environment organized cadres and workers to go into the Tianren community to carry out low-carbon environmental protection publicity activities.
At 4 p.m. on August 25, "Hello, today is the National Low Carbon Day, please pay attention to our living environment, energy conservation and environmental protection." Xu Mengjiang, Xu Shaozao, Tang Tiandong and several other "environmental protection recruits" who had just been transferred from the Municipal Urban Management Committee distributed proposals and environmental protection manuals to residents at the entrance of Tianzhu Community.
Zhang Jie and Yu Weidong came to a commissary, "Hello, try to avoid using disposable cartons and chopsticks, and carry your own shopping bags when you go out shopping." As they spoke, they handed the proposal to the commissary owner. Ms. Li, a resident who passed by, said that these environmental protection "small things" that can be done at any time are usually ignored by themselves, and everyone has the responsibility to maintain the environment, and in later life, not only should they try to be low-carbon, but also promote the concept of low-carbon life to their neighbors. More than 10 party members and cadres distributed publicity materials, posted propaganda posters, and answered questions on the spot, so that residents had a better understanding of energy conservation and emission reduction and low-carbon life.
This activity aims to enhance residents' awareness of the environment, conservation and ecology, promote them to consciously choose a low-carbon, frugal green lifestyle, and lay a solid social and mass foundation for the construction of ecological civilization. On the day of the event, more than 100 copies of publicity materials were distributed, 15 posters were posted, and more than 20 people answered questions on the spot.
