The body length is 55-101 cm, the tail length is 27-45 cm, the weight is 6.6-18.6 kg, and the female is smaller. The back of the body is available in white, brown, yellow and gray. Subspecies vary from subspecies to territory. There are two vertical stripes on the forehead, with a fine dotted pattern in the middle. Mostly nocturnal and territorial. The forefoot has 5 toes and the hind feet have 4 toes; the claws are sharp and retractable. It hunts in the same way that most cats hunt in ambushes. Good at swimming and climbing trees, can descend trees in a head-down manner, but most of the time on the ground. Canine teeth and fissures are extremely developed and have a wide range of feeding habits, feeding on small mammals, reptiles, birds and insects. Prefers to live alone and only gathers when mating. Breeding is carried every two years, and 2-4 litters can be produced per litter.
