The Yellow Emperor's Inner Classic, which is divided into two parts, "Su Qing" and "Lingshu", is the earliest chinese medical classic and one of the four classic works of traditional medicine (the other three are "Difficult Classics", "Treatise on Typhoid Fever and Miscellaneous Diseases", and "Shennong Materia Medica").

[sic] Qi Bo avoided the seat and prayed again: Zen Hu Ya asked also, this ancestor's oral transmission also.
[Translation] Qi Bo listened, hurriedly left his seat, bowed down to the Yellow Emperor, and said you ask.
[sic] The Yellow Emperor: I would like to hear oral transmission.
The Yellow Emperor said: I want to listen.
[sic] Qi Bo said: The beginning of fu bai disease is also born in wind, rain, cold, summer, yin, yang, mood, diet, and residence. The great fright is that the blood and qi are separated, the yin and yang are broken, the meridians are broken, the veins are not connected, the yin and yang are reversed, the guard qi is retained, the meridians are empty, the blood qi is not inferior, it is abnormal, and those who are not in the scriptures, please go to the way.
[Translation] Qi Bo replied that the occurrence of various diseases is mostly caused by wind and rain and cold and heat invading the outside, the atrioventricular disorders, or excessive mood and anger, eating disorders, impermanence of living, and sudden fright, causing the separation of blood and qi in the body and reversing chaos, the loss of balance between yin and yang, the occlusion of meridians, the obstruction of the veins, the reversal of the qi and yin in the veins, the inability to apply the qi to the outside as usual and stay inside, the void of the meridians, the disorder of the circulation of qi and blood, and all the balance in the body to lose normal operation and cause diseases. Allow me now to touch upon some of the relevant truths that are not recorded in the scriptures.
[sic] The Yellow Emperor knows: What is the anger of those who owe people?
[Translation] The Yellow Emperor said: What is the qi caused by people yawning?
[sic] Qibo replied: Wei Qi travels in the yang day and day, and in the middle of the night it travels in the yin, the yin is the main night, the night is lying down, the yang is on the lord, the yin is under the lord, so the yin qi is accumulated in the bottom, the yang is not exhausted, the yang leads up, the yin leads down, the yin and yang lead, so the number is insufficient, the yang is exhausted and the yin is full, then the eyes are full, the yin is exhausted and the yang is full, the prosperity is lonely, the diarrhea is less yin, and the sun is replenished.
Qi Bo replied: Wei Qi travels in the yang of the human body during the day, the yin of the human body at night, the yin qi is mainly at night, and the main life activity of the person at night is sleep. The Yang Qi lord grows and rises, and the Yin Qi lord settles down and goes down. Therefore, before entering the night, the yin qi is deposited underneath, and the yang qi begins to be in the yin, but when it is not yet exhausted, the yang qi leads the yin qi upwards, the yin qi leads the yang qi downwards, and the yin and yang lead to each other, so it keeps yawning. After nightfall, the yang qi has entered the yin, so it can sleep quietly; by the dawn the yin will be exhausted, and the yang will be full, and it will be awake. For such a disease, it is necessary to laxate the yin meridian to suppress its yin qi, and supplement the sun meridian to help its yang qi.
[sic] The Yellow Emperor said: What is the anger of the people?
[Translation] The Yellow Emperor said: What is the reason for people suffering from hiccups?
[sic] Qibo Yue: The valley enters the stomach, the stomach qi is injected into the lungs, and now there is the old cold qi and the new valley qi are also returned to the stomach, the new and the old are chaotic, the true and evil attack each other, the qi and the opposite, the compound out of the stomach, so it is a beep, and the hand is replenished.
[Translation] Qi Bo said: Food Mizutani people in the stomach, after the stomach of the rot, digestion, under the impetus of temper to inject subtle substances into the lungs. If there is cold qi in the stomach, after the diet water valley enters the stomach, the subtle qi of the newborn water valley fights with the cold qi that is known as it is, and the good and evil attack each other, and the two qi are mixed and reversed, and then retrograde out of the stomach, which becomes the proof of hiccups. Treatment should be to supplement the hand too yin meridian, diarrhea foot less yin meridian.
[sic] The Yellow Emperor said: What is the sound of people's sighs?
[Translation] The Yellow Emperor said: People often have sighs and sobbing, what is the reason?
[sic] Qibo Yue: This yin qi is full and yang qi is weak, yin qi is sick and yang qi is xu, yin qi is full and yang qi is absolutely sighing, making up for the sun and diarrhea.
Qi Bo replied: This is caused by the yin qi being strong and the yang qi being weak, the yin qi running fast and the yang qi being blocked, running slowly, and even the yin qi being hyperactive and the yang qi weakening. Treatment should be made up for the sun meridian and diarrhea foot less yin meridian.
[sic] The Yellow Emperor knows: What is the anger of the people who are cold?
[Translation] The Yellow Emperor asked: What is the qi caused by the cold fighting in the human body?
[sic] Qi Bo Yue: The cold is in the skin, the yin qi is strong, and the yang qi is weak, so it is a cold chill and a supplement to the yang.
[Translation] Qi Bo replied: This is due to the fact that the yin and cold qi remain in the skin, the yin qi is strong and the yang qi is weak, so the performance of zhen cold and cold chestnut should be treated by warm supplementation to invigorate the yang qi.
[sic] The Yellow Emperor said: What is the anger of the people?
[Translation] The Yellow Emperor asked: People have belching, what is the cause of qi?
[sic] QiBo Yue: The cold is in the stomach, the rebellion is dispersed from the bottom up, and the compound comes out of the stomach, so it is a oh, to make up for the yin and yang, and to make up for the eyebrows in one day.
QiBo replied: The cold qi invades the stomach and disturbs the stomach qi, and the stomach qi does not fall and falls and reverses, which becomes a heating certificate. Treatment should be made up for Taiyin and Foot Yang Mingjing.
[sic] The Yellow Emperor said: What is the anger of the sneezer of man?
[Translation] The Yellow Emperor asked: What kind of gas causes people to sneeze?
[sic] Qibo Yue: Yang Qi and Li Man are out of the nose, so it is sneezing, making up for the Sun RongMei Ben, and the eyebrow is also on the eyebrow.
[Translation] Qi Bo replied: Yang Qi and Li are full of one, and go up out of the nose and become sneezes. Treatment should be to replenish the sun meridian of the xing acupoint through the valley, and needles to the root of the eyebrows to save bamboo.
[sic] The Yellow Emperor said: What is the anger of the man?
[Translation] The Yellow Emperor said: People are sluggish and weak, and their activities are not effective, what is the cause of qi?
[sic] Qi Bo Yue: If the stomach is not real, the veins are weak, the veins are weak, the veins are lazy, and the tendons and veins are lazy, and they cannot be restored with strength, so they are 亸, because they are located between the supplemental meat.
[Translation] Qi Bo replied: Stomach qi deficiency, the human body meridian qi and blood is insufficient, muscles and muscles lost in glory and weakness, in this case, forced to the human room, the vitality is greatly damaged, the qi can not be restored immediately, there is a grebe disease. Because its lesions mainly occur between muscles, the treatment should be based on the specific site of the occurrence of the disease, and the acupuncture treatment should be carried out with a complementary method between the flesh.
[sic] The Yellow Emperor said: Whoever weeps out of the mourning of man, why should he be angry?
[Translation] The Yellow Emperor asked: What is the cause of people's sorrow and tears?
[sic] Qi Bo Yue: The lord of the five internal organs of the heart, the gathering of the ancestral veins of the eyes, the way of the upper liquid, and the portal of the mouth and nose of the qi. Therefore, sorrow and sorrow are heartbroken, the heartbeat is shaken, the shaking is the sense of the pulse, the sense of the pulse is open, and the liquid channel is opened. Liquid people, so infusion of the essence of the empty trick also, so the way to the liquid is open to cry, crying more than the liquid is exhausted, the liquid is exhausted is not filled, the fine is not infused, and the fine is not irrigated. Therefore, the order is known as the hemorrhoid essence, the pillar of heaven, and the neck of the hero.
Qi Bo replied: The mind is the master of the five internal organs and six intestines; the eye is the place where many meridians converge, and the meridian qi of the five internal organs is focused on the eye, and it is also the channel through which the qi flows from the top to the outside; the mouth and nose are the gateway to the qi. Therefore, sadness, grief, sorrow, sad emotions will affect the heart, the uneasiness of the heart will make all the internal organs affected, and then affect the meridians, the fluctuations of the meridians make the channels of each excretory liquid all open, the liquid channels are open, so the snot and tears will gush out at the same time; the liquid in the human body, there is a subtle substance instilled to nourish the role of each hole, so when the way of the liquid is open and tears flow, it will consume semen, crying more than can exhaust the semen so that it can not be infused, semen can not be infused with holes, then blindness, It's called Seizure. Treatment should be to replenish the pillar of heaven that the sun carries around the neck.
[sic] The Yellow Emperor said: What is the anger of those who are too breathing?
The Yellow Emperor asked: People sigh, what is the cause of qi?

Qi Bo replied: Too much worry will cause the heart to be anxious, the heart will be restrained, and the restraint will make the airway difficult, so deep breathing can make the qi machine soothe. Treatment should be to supplement the hand less yin meridian, hand yin meridian, foot less yang meridian, and use the needle retention method.
[sic] The Yellow Emperor knows: What is the anger of those who are salivating?
[Translation] The Yellow Emperor asked: What is the gas caused by people drooling?
[sic] Qi Bo Yue: Dieters are all in the stomach, the stomach is boiling then the worm moves, the worm moves the stomach slowly, the stomach slows down and the spring is opened, so salivating, make up for the lack of yin.
[Translation] Qi Bo replied: The diet water valley enters the stomach, there is heat in the stomach, and the parasites in the stomach are peristaltic due to heat, which will make the stomach qi slow, the stomach is open to the mouth, and the stomach qi is slow so that the Lianquan point under the tongue is open, and the mouth is open and salivating. Since the foot less yin kidney meridian is knotted in Lianquan, the treatment needle is acupunctured to supplement the kidney water.
[sic] The Yellow Emperor knows: What is the anger of the ringer in the ears of man?
The Yellow Emperor asked: What is the qi that causes tinnitus in people?
[sic] Qi Bo Yue: The gathering of the ancestral veins of the ear is also, so the hollow stomach is the sect vein is weak, the void is slipping down, the pulse is exhausted, so the tinnitus, the complement of the master, the hand big finger claw nail and the flesh intercourse also.
[Translation] Qi Bo replied: The ear is the place where the human lineage gathers, if the stomach is empty, and the subtle supply of the water valley is insufficient, then the sect pulse cannot be nourished, the pulse is empty, the sect pulse is empty, the yang qi does not rise, the subtle cannot be reached, and the meridian qi and blood that enter the ear cannot be nourished and consumed, resulting in a ringing in the ear. Treatment should be made at the guest point of the foot less yang bile meridian and the lesser business point of the hand Taiyin lung meridian located in the horn of the hand big finger claw nail to supplement the acupuncture.
[sic] The Yellow Emperor said: What is the anger of man who bites his tongue?
The Yellow Emperor asked: What is the qi caused by people biting their tongues themselves?
[sic] Qi Bo Yue: This rebellion is on the way, the pulse qi is to the end, the less yin qi is to the tongue, the less yang qi is to the cheeks, the yang is to the lips, depending on the main disease, it is supplemented.
[Translation] Qi Bo replied: This kind of disease is caused by the upward reversal of qi, which affects the pulse qi of each meridian and is reversed separately. If the Lesser Yin Pulse Qi is reversed, because the foot of the Lesser Yin Kidney passes through to the root of the tongue, it will bite its tongue; if it is the Shaoyang Meridian Qi upwards, because the Shaoyang Meridian is inverse in the two cheeks, it will bite its cheek; if the Yangming Meridian Qi is reversed, because the Yangming Meridian is around the lips, it will bite the lip. Treatment should be based on the site of the disease, determine the disease, and apply acupuncture treatment to help correct the evil spirit.
[sic] All these twelve evils are strange and evil, and therefore the place where the evil is, is insufficient. Therefore, the upper qi is insufficient, the brain is dissatisfied, the ears are bitter, the head is bitter, the eyes are dizzy, the middle qi is insufficient, the intestines are changed, the intestines are bitter, and the lack of breath is paralyzed, and the outer ankle is replenished, and it is left behind.
[Translation] The twelve kinds of diseases mentioned above are all evidence of diseases caused by the intrusion of evil qi into the hole. The fact that evil qi can invade these areas is caused by the lack of righteous qi. Any evidence of insufficient coke will make the brain marrow not full, there is a sense of emptiness, tinnitus, weak and low head support, dizziness in both eyes; insufficient medium coke, two stools are not adjusted, the intestines are ringing; insufficient coke, weak and cold feet, suffocation in the heart, treatment should be used to stab the sun through the Kunlun acupoint located at the back of the outer ankle of the foot.
[sic] The Yellow Emperor: What is the cure?
[Translation] The Yellow Emperor asked: How to treat the above symptoms?
[sic] Qi Bo Yue: The kidney master is the owe, take the foot less yin, the lung master is the groan, take the hand too yin, the foot less yin, the sigher, the yin and the yang, so make up for the sun, diarrhea foot less yin, vibrate the cold, make up the yang, oh, make up the yin and yang, sneeze, make up the sun eyebrow, qi, because of the place where the supplement meat room. Crying out, replenishing the pillar of heaven, through the neck of the hero, the head of the hero neck is divided into also, the tai si, the hand is less yin, the heart lord, the foot less yang stays, salivation, make up for the less yin, tinnitus, supplement the guest lord, the human hand big finger claw armor and flesh intercourse. Self-pouting, depending on the main patient, then make up for it, dizzy head tilt, make up for the outside ankle, stay, paralyzed, heart, stabbed foot two inches between the big fingers, stay, one day, under the ankle of the foot, stay.
[Translation] Qi Bo replied that among the above diseases, the yawn disease of the kidney qi should supplement the acupuncture points of the Shaoyin Kidney Meridian; the hiccup disease of the main lung qi should supplement the hand Taiyin and foot less yin meridians; the lamentation is the evidence of the decline of yin and yang, and should supplement the sun and the diarrhea of the foot; the cold vibration certificate on the body should supplement the acupuncture points on each Yang sutra; the belching disease, which should supplement the acupuncture points of the Taiyin and Foot Yang Mingjing; the sneezing, should fill the bamboo hole of the sun; the bullet, because of the difference in the meridians in which it is located, should take the flesh of the sutra; cry and tears, When replenishing the Heavenly Pillar Acupoint of the Foot Sun Meridian located on both sides of the neck; when sighing, the Hand Shaoyin Heart Meridian, the Hand Yin Pericardial Meridian, and the Foot Shaoyang Biliary Meridian should be replenished; the mouth horn is drooling, the Shaoyin Kidney Meridian should be replenished; tinnitus, the guest cave of the Shaoyang Biliary Meridian should be replenished, and the Shaoshang Acupuncture Point of the Hand Taiyin Lung Meridian located in the horn of the hand's big finger claw; if the tongue is bitten, the complementary method should be used separately according to the meridians of the site of the disease; if the eyes are dizzy and the head is weak, the two inches after the big finger of the outer ankle foot are replenished, and the needle is pierced by the method of leaving a needle It is also possible to leave a needle in the Kunlun hole behind the outer ankle of the foot. ■
