The Dongjiang Column Memorial Hall concentrates on the glorious history and major contributions of the Dongjiang Column, and is an important party sex education base for party members. All the party members and cadres of the Shenzhen Water Source Office changed into red army uniforms and visited 13 exhibition areas, such as "Resisting Japan and Saving the Dead, Armed Preparations," "Forming a Team to Resist the Enemy, Breaking Through and Moving East," and "Returning behind the Enemy's Back, Resuming Development." The narrator combined rich historical materials and precious cultural relics exhibits to tell the story of the Dongjiang Column from its establishment to its expansion into the two Broad Columns of the Chinese People's Liberation Army, and then developed into the Guangdong-Xiangbian Column of the Chinese People's Liberation Army. Precious texts, yellowed old photographs, and cultural relics bearing historical memory one after another show the heroic journey of the sons and daughters of Southern Guangdong from the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression to the War of Liberation and the period of socialist construction, which deeply infected and shocked the party members and cadres.
Subsequently, in order to experience the hard years of the Red Army at close range, the party members and cadres carried out the revolutionary education experience activity of "Remembering the Bittersweet Red Army Meal" and made the Red Army meals with simple ingredients. All Party members have profoundly experienced the "bitterness" of revolutionary martyrs, recalled the "sweetness" in their work, and have a feeling of respect and remembrance for the older generation of revolutionary martyrs.
