Liu Fang: The chicken perched tree is evergreen, and Sun Zi and I are always there

Lonely lights and rain are miserable, and I look closely at the blurred sick ink marks. The opening chapter still reminds everyone to pay attention to protection when traveling. Monarchs often selected some auxiliary ministers before their deaths, and when the children were young, they produced some powerful ministers, so that foreign relatives and eunuchs took turns to appear. This article is still about Liu Fang.

Liu Fang and Sun Zi rose through the ranks during the reign of Emperor Cao Rui of Wei, and Cao Rui always valued their opinions until he was seriously ill when he considered the auxiliary chancellor. Cao Rui's first consideration were Cao Yu, Xiahou Xian, Cao Shuang, Cao Zhao zhào, and Qin Lang, all of whom were considered sons of Cao Weizong and were all in more critical positions, with the leading general Xiahou Xian and the Wuwei general Cao Shuang both in charge of the forbidden army, and Qin Lang was also one of Cao Cao's adopted sons.

"In his year, emperor Yu fell ill and wanted to make Wang Yu of Yan a great general, and the leading general Xiahou Xian, the Wuwei general Cao Shuang, the Tun Riding Colonel Cao Zhao, and the Xiao riding general Qin Lang jointly assisted the government" - "Romance of the Three Kingdoms Liu Fang"

Cao Yu, the King of Yan, behaved very deferentially, and he had been pushing back on Cao Rui's appointment, so Cao Rui called Liu Fang and Sun Zi to his bedroom and asked, "Has this always been the case with The King of Yan?" The two responded, "The King of Yan actually knows that he is embarrassed and responsible." When Cao Rui asked Cao Shuang if he could replace Cao Yu, Liu Fang and Sun Zi both gave their approval and suggested that sima Yi be recalled quickly.

Cao Rui's attitude changed several times in a short period of time, first agreeing to summon Sima Yi, then regretting that he did not want Sima Yi to come, and once again when he found Liu Fang and Sun Zi, he said that Cao Zhao and others had made a mistake, and finally he still wanted Sima Yi and Cao Shuang to assist the government, and removed Cao Yu, Xiahou Xian, Cao Zhao, and Qin Lang from office. Several of the clan officials were all taken down, which may be the confusion of Cao Rui's thoughts when he was seriously ill, or it may be that Liu Fang and Sun Zi obstructed liu fang and Sun Zi as recorded in the "Shiyu".

"I summoned myself as a lieutenant, but Cao Zhao, and others made me stop it, and I lost my affairs several times" - "Romance of the Three Kingdoms, Liu Fang's Biography"

In the case of "Shiyu", because Liu Fang and Sun Zi had been in charge of secrets for many years, Xiahou Xian and Cao Zhao were very dissatisfied with this, and such a chance was not the responsibility of Cao Wei's clan. Therefore, when Cao Rui intended to appoint the two of them as auxiliary ministers, they looked at the chicken perch tree outside the palace and said, "This is also a long time, and it can be repeated", which is a metaphor for Liu Fang and Sun Zi's good days to come to an end. Therefore, Liu Fang and Sun Zi also tried their best to persuade Cao Rui, first, to recall Sima Yi as soon as possible, and second, to inform the palace guards to forbid Cao Zhao, Xiahou Xian, and others from entering, resulting in their dismissal, and teaching Cao Shuang to deal with Cao Rui's inquiries.

"It has been twilight, and the palace gate of The Emperor has been released and declared, and the King of Yan shall not be restored, and the King of Yan shall be deposed" - "Romance of the Three Kingdoms, Liu Fang's Biography"

In the end, Cao Rui's assistant chancellor was selected as Cao Shuang and Sima Yi, and judging from the actions of Liu Fang and Sun Zi before, these two were friends with them. After Cao Fang, the King of Qi, ascended the throne, Liu Fang and Sun Zi were also rewarded for their merits in appointing staff officers and assistant chancellors, and not only did their titles increase, but their heirs were also given the title of marquis. In the first year of the first century (240), Liu Fang and Sun Zi were added to the ranks of Left Guanglu Dafu and Right Guanglu Dafu respectively, and the "Yi Tong Sansi" was treated as the Three Dukes.

In the first six years (245), they were divided into Hussar generals and Wei generals, and they still controlled the Zhongshutai. In the first seven years (246), both of them resigned from their posts because of their old age, but only participated in the monthly synodic day of the pilgrimage as princes, that is, on the first and fifteenth days of the first month of each month. The imperial court again enfeoffed their heirs and selected one of them to be the Marquis of Ting.

In the case "Biography of Sun Zibie", Sun Zi and his wife resigned because they were dissatisfied with Cao Shuang, and when Cao Shuang was reprimanded, Liu Fang was again appointed as a servant and received the Zhongshu Order, and he was in charge of the Zhongshutai for thirty years, and died in the second year of Jiaping (250), posthumously honored as "Marquis of Jing". Having been in charge of Wei Guoji for thirty years as a non-sect, it also showed the ability of Liu Fang and Sun Zi.

"Seven years, fufengzi one person Tinghou Marquis, each old abdication, with the Marquis of Liehou Looking forward, the position of special advance" - "Romance of the Three Kingdoms Liu Fang Biography"

Liu Fang's talent and strategy were above Sun Zi's, and his virtue was inferior to his, so the world's evaluation of him was even worse, but the Qunchen also made some defenses of his deeds. In Xianxizhong, when the fifth-rank title was implemented, taking into account the merits of Liu Fang and Sun Zi in that year, Liu Zheng, the son of Liu Fang, was crowned as the son of Fang Chengzi, and Sun Hong, the son of Sun Zi, was made a stone.

It is only the death of Wei Fu, which is also related to Liu Fang's grandson.
