In order to promote the construction of stroke centers in grass-roots hospitals, combined with the series of activities of the 2021 World Stroke Day and the 11th National Stroke Publicity Week, on the afternoon of October 26, Jia Ruofei, director of the medical director of the senior stroke center of our hospital, Lu Junguang, deputy director, Wu Haike, Liang Zhangrong, secretary Chen Wenlin and other 6 people went to Gaoming District Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine (hereinafter referred to as Gaoming Branch) for exchanges.

Vice President Li Fengzhen of Gaoming Branch, Chief of Medical Department Wu Jinmei, Director Hua Xiuzhen of Neurology, Director Liu Weihan of Emergency Department and staff of the Preparatory Group for the Construction of Stroke Prevention and Control Center participated in the whole process, and the two sides conducted in-depth exchanges on stroke prevention and control construction, further strengthening the cooperation of stroke alliance.
At the first station in the emergency department of Gaoming Branch, Director Liu Weihan introduced the basic situation of the department. Subsequently, the delegation visited the green channel, surgery and neurology department of the emergency department, and listened to the introduction of vice president Li Fengzhen on the overview of stroke prevention and treatment in the branch hospital. It is reported that the construction of the stroke center of Gaoming Branch is still in preparation, and stroke patients are mainly treated in the emergency department and neurology department.
Next, the two sides exchanged stroke prevention and stroke center construction in the conference room. The meeting was presided over by Vice President Li Fengzhen, Deputy Director Lu Junguang introduced the history and experience of the construction of the senior stroke center of our hospital, and Deputy Director Liang Zhangrong shared a lecture with the theme of "Construction of Green Channel for Ischemic Stroke". Director Jia Ruofei and Deputy Director Wu Haike shared the role of neurosurgery, neurology team building and stroke centers respectively. Finally, Vice President Li Fengzhen summarized the exchange and thanked the General Hospital for its support and help in stroke prevention and control. After the meeting, the two sides carried out team docking work and established a WeChat group for stroke work to facilitate further communication and work.
Stroke is the first cause of death and disability in adults in China, and has the characteristics of high incidence, high disability rate, high mortality rate and high recurrence rate. In order to further do a good job in stroke prevention and treatment, improve the effect of diagnosis and treatment, and reduce the occurrence of disabilities caused by stroke, the National Health Commission and other 10 departments decided to implement the project of strengthening stroke prevention and treatment to reduce one million new disabilities, and jointly formulated the "Comprehensive Plan for Strengthening Stroke Prevention and Treatment to Reduce One Million New Disabilities", which includes vigorously promoting the construction of stroke centers, strengthening the development of thrombolysis and thrombolytic techniques in stroke centers, and at the same time building a graded diagnosis and treatment model for stroke diseases, led by stroke centers in tertiary hospitals, emergency centers, Rehabilitation medical institutions, grass-roots medical and health service institutions, etc. have formed medical consortiums, and strive to build a hierarchical diagnosis and treatment model for stroke diseases that combines two-way referral, upper and lower linkage, and prevention and treatment.
In recent years, our hospital has made every effort to promote the construction of stroke prevention and advanced stroke center, and is currently the only senior stroke center in Foshan that has been awarded a license from the National Brain Prevention Commission, and in 2020, the city-wide stroke alliance has been established, forming a two-way referral, up-down linkage, and mutual assistance and mutual improvement of graded diagnosis and treatment mode with all alliance hospitals, and assisting the alliance hospital to create a stroke prevention and treatment center.
