Legend has it that more than 4,000 years ago, in the ancient times, that is, the Gaoxin era, the King of Gaoxin and the Inuyasha often fought, because the Inuyasha state had a general surnamed Wu, who was good at using troops, and the battle was very strong, and the army of the King of Gaoxin fought with it, losing more than winning. For this reason, King Gaoxin recruited soldiers throughout the country and told his subjects that whoever could defeat General Wu of the Inuyasha kingdom and take his lead was willing to send his beloved daughter Xin Nu as his wife. At this time, at the foot of the Panhu Mountain on the west bank of the Yuanshui River, there was a cave called Panwan Cave that lived a sacred dog that came down from the sky, his name was Pan Yong, and when he heard the news, he shook his head and changed, walked out of the cave, and became a very handsome descendant, Pan Yong threw his army under King Gaoxin, fought very bravely, defeated General Wu of the Inuyasha Kingdom, and cut off his head to the King of Gaoxin.
After Pan Nu and Xin Nu became related, they gave birth to six men and six women, but their children had never seen Pan Nu, but there was a hunting dog who had been with them, and suddenly one day, Xin Nu told their children that the hunting dog was their father, so their six sons felt very humiliated and killed Pan Ou, and after Xin Nu learned the news of Pan Wan's murder, due to excessive sorrow, it turned into a rock and stood on the yuanshui river.
In Luxi, there are things everywhere about Xinnu and Pannu, such as "Xinnu Square, Pannu Square, XinnuXi, XinnuYan, Xinnu Temple, Pannu Temple" and so on.
Finally, I would like to introduce you to luxi county's unique folk traditional handicrafts and one of the national intangible cultural heritage - stepping on the tiger chisel flower.
"Tiger Chisel Flower" originates from the pattern blueprint of Miao clothing, mostly used in the embroidery base of clothes, which plays a pivotal role in the field of Miao costumes in Western Hunan Province, known as "embroidered on clothes civilization", and is "paper-cutting art without scissors".
