Today (July 1st) afternoon, Pujin Street held the unveiling ceremony of the "Red Historical Monument" monument, and the two monuments were unveiled at the same time, becoming an important carrier to pay tribute to the revolutionary martyrs, carry forward the red culture, inherit the red gene, and a vivid classroom for the study and education of party history.

At the beginning of 1945, Zhao Duoxin, a member of the Lubei District Committee of Nanhui County, and zhang Housheng, a comrade-in-arms of the CPC, were entrusted by the organization to open up a secret communication line from Pudong to Puxi, and selected the area around the exit of Shenzhuangtang, southeast of Tangkou Town, as the Pudong ferry port. In February 1945, Zhao Duoxin and Gu Fusheng escorted the advance troops to successfully cross the Huangpu River at night and return to Puxi. Since then, this secret line of communication has become an important channel for traffic officers on both sides of the Huangpu River to pass on party documents and escort or receive liaison officers across the river.

In 1940, Gu Zhen, then the principal of Chen Xing Central Primary School (now Pujiang No. 1 Primary School), secretly contacted the "Songhu Anti-Japanese Youth League" led by Lin Jun, a member of the Communist Party of China, to carry out the Anti-Japanese National Salvation Movement.

On December 23, 1940, the martyr Gu Zhen instigated the Zhaojialou Uprising, setting off a glorious page in the history of the Pudong War of Resistance. As a secret contact point, Chen Xing Primary School witnessed the revolutionary deeds of the anti-Japanese salvation movement in the Pujiang area, spread the revolutionary flame, and carried the red memory.

Today (July 1, 2021) is the official implementation day of the "Shanghai Regulations on the Inheritance, Promotion, Protection and Utilization of Red Resources". The Regulations consist of eight chapters and fifty-eight articles, which are divided into general provisions, investigation and identification, inheritance and promotion, protection and management, regional cooperation in the Yangtze River Delta, legal liability, and supplementary provisions. The "Regulations" clearly stipulate that the inheritance, promotion, protection and utilization of red resources implements the working mechanism of party committee leadership, government responsibility, departmental coordination, and social participation, and establishes a joint meeting mechanism at the municipal and district levels, including party committees and relevant government departments, as the main member units.
